You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Max is an almost 3 year-old, smart, cute beagle mix.who is looking for a new home due to a major change in his family's situation.    Max is the sweetest dog - he is very eager to please, and he learns commands easily.  He is food motivated (yay!) and he is good with children (tho he has not had exposure to very young children). Max loves belly rubs, massages and petting. He is crate trained and housetrained. This smart boy knows his name and the commands: sit, wait, down, focus, and "with me."   Max likes to follow his human to see what they're up to. He absolutely loves other dogs and loves to play (sometimes incessantly). He may react to them on a leash, but we think its out of excitement to go meet them!   Max loves food activities - puzzles, snuggle mats, lick pads, frozen kongs, treat balls. He knows how to "wait" for his meals! What a good boy!   He likes bananas, peanut butter, carrots, yogurt and pumpkin. Not only can his human give him a bath in the tub easily, he loves to bathe in the sunshine on his bed.  With Max, he will be happy to see you in the morning.   Outside the home, he can be apprehensive about the outside world; because of this, he needs a gentle approach. He is timid with new experiences and things.   Max is a great dog who would thrive in a consistent home, and who love to greet you each morning with love.    Max is fixed, UTD, and in a foster home in NJ. This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  12 yrs.  31 lbs. Sweet girl whose owner passed away.  Looking for a home with  fenced yard since she's not used to being walked on a leash. Loves cuddle time.  Once she gets to know you  she will be right by your side!  She would love another calm doggie companion, she really lights up around other dogs!  *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.August 19, 2024, 8:53 am

Hello! My name is Evelyn and I am 2-3 years old. My rescuers think I am a chihuahua/Beagle mix. I am 30 pounds of awesomness! I had a sad start in life but I am happy and loved now! I was rescued from a kill shelter with my 9 babies! They were going to euthanize us all due to low space in the shelter and because my babies had ringworm. I was so scared at first when I got to my foster home but I quickly learned that my foster family loved me very much and would never hurt me. I have been a stray and a mommy but now I would like to try being someone's baby. I promise to try to be the best baby to someone who wants to love me and give me a chance. I love playing with my stuffed toys and I can be quite silly, now that I can relax a bit. I am fully vetted and ready to be adopted. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application These girls were all hound mommas living in Louisanna.  The all lived with no owner in some swampy area field and all needed to be trapped with their babies to find a better life and brought to NJ.  They are all heartworm positive and we are treating them for that.  All are spayed and up to date on shots.  These girls are shy but very sweet,  loves other dogs and are very gentle with everyone.  Great with housebreaking no accidents in the house but you have to let them out.  They love sitting in the sun.  Any family would be very lucky to adopt one or maybe two of them as they love each other as well.  They love food and treats,  just shake the treats and they all run right in.  These girls all have my heart,  but I obviously can not keep them all.  LOL.  They are small hound girls about 35 lbs. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 17, 2024, 1:31 pm
