Rehoming Our Sweet 5-Year-Old Purebred Beagle We are looking for a loving home for our 5-year-old purebred Beagle. He is a sweet, fun, and affectionate dog who loves human companionship. He would thrive as an only pet, as he prefers to have his space and does not get along with our newly introduced service dog. This has been a difficult decision, but we want to ensure he finds a home where he can be happy and comfortable. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion, please reach out.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please be sure to read Mae's bio before applying for her.Mae's life began in an unsupportive and neglectful home.  She was confiscated from her original home and brought into a county shelter.  One animal on the property had been tethered and found starved to death, and Mae was one of several other dogs that were impounded.  She was so emaciated that she wasn't far from death herself.  Mae has learned many new things in a loving and supportive foster home, and her foster family has learned a lot about her- and where she would be most comfortable.    Mae would do best in a home with another dog, she loves to wrestle and play.  Another dog her size or larger would do best, since she can be an exuberant play companion.  She completely ignores cats, so having kitties in the home would be ok too.  She definitely requires a secured fenced in yard (no underground fences please) and a home that has the capability to utilize gates to keep her safe until she has had the chance to become acclimated to her new environment.  She can be a bit nervous with new people, but she warms up fast.  She would do best in a home where all children are 12 and over, since she has had limited exposure to children.  Mae still carries memories of her past, and the one detail she is sure of is that her previous tormentor was a bald man- she is terrified of bald men,  men with hair do not seem to be an issue.  She requires an experienced family that will give her the time she needs to get comfortable and blossom into an excellent companion.    Mae is leash trained, house trained (though rainy days can be challenging), crate trained, and she rides well in a car.  She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 10:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Barkley is one handsome and adorable dog! Gentle by nature, he can also be a bit clumsy – he’s part Basset after all. Still, Barkley is a dream to walk since he is always checking to make sure you're following him or near him. He does not want to be too far apart from his human. Barkley does have hound tendencies with his nose often to the ground and an ear for squirrels. He loves a little bit of fetch with a ball or a stuffed toy.  Barkley is learning basic manners. He knows to “sit” on command, but "four on the floor," is a challenge for him. With his 38 lbs weight and solid build, he'd be best in a family without tiny children. Barkley is very companionable and sociable. He would prefer a family who will not need to crate him or leave him home alone too long. He loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have another canine companion to play with. Barkley is a sweet boy who aims to please. He’s looking forward to a family he can dedicate himself to loving and pleasing.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 22, 2025, 5:31 pm
