*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** *** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** In golf lingo, a birdie is excellent and worth cheering about! Well, this Birdie is worth cheering too! This sweet beagle gal is a kisser and a hugger, and she is not shy in the least. Birdie seems to get along with all dogs. While in foster, she got along well with her foster's dogs, a bulldog and a beagle, and was cat-compatible, being curious but basically ignoring the kitties. Birdie is still working on potty routine and using pads in the meantime. She is loving being in a house where she can explore and find all sorts of interesting items like Benebones and fun toys to chew on. When Birdie gets the zoomies, it's so fun to watch. While inside, she likes to hang with you and will happily curl up while you work. For outside time, she loves to take walks and does well on a leash. She does like to stop and smell the roses (or rabbits!), but after all, she's a beagle, that's what she does! Birdie is good in her crate; if she's not ready to go to bed, she will voice her objection but settles down quickly and sleeps quietly through the night. She is happy to greet you in the morning with a wagging tail and a kiss good morning! Come meet this sweet girl and let her woo you with her soft caramel eyes!

Story
Short legs and ears that go on forever as well as coat that looks like he came from the nearest city's dog show extravaganza, Briggs is a model beagle and he is looking for some beagle loving people to come and scoop him up! Briggs is an adult male beagle who weighs a solid 35 lbs full grown, making him look like he might have stopped for a brunch at his namesake's restaurant a few too many times. Briggs is not really a runner, never a marathoner and definitely a sniffer around-er. He does wonderfully with other dogs and has an easy going attitude. He would easily melt into an existing pack and seems very at ease with other animal friends. Briggs is great in his crate and we haven't yet heard the howling of his people come from his mouth so doesn't seem to be likely to end up on the talk show circuit. Briggs is a beagle beauty and will make a fabulous family member! *Weekend Host feedback: "Briggs is such a sweetheart and just the perfect dog! He loves his humans and would follow you around everywhere. He's more interested in getting constant pets than playing with his toys. A velcro dog indeed. Briggs also adores his reflection and would stand in front of the firespace to stare at himself. He stops by almost every car on walks to appreciate his beauty (who can blame him? he's the ultimate cutie!) Walks nice on the leash at a slow pace. Loves his humans".

Story
If you love to snuggle and get really excited when good meals are served and consider yourself a foodie in need of a foodie friend, Circus is TOTALLY your guy! Circus is a beagle buddy who is an adult weighing around 28 lbs full grown. He may look kinda reserved at times but he has his loves and food bowls (filled with food) and people lovin's is right in his wheelhouse and he will fire up like you wouldn't believe. Circus does wonderfully with other dogs, bigger and smaller matters none to him. He is a lover of all people big and small too and could fit into any home that would love a guy small enough to fit on your lap with a smeller big enough to want to take in the whole world around him. Circus is a good boy in his crate, rides well in the car and is ready to head home with you ASAP. This beagle is the sweetest guy around and is sure to make life as fun as....a circus! *Weekend Host feedback: "He attaches to the human immediately- followed me all the time. He can live with or without other dogs, mostly wants his human. He was awesome during the downpour so we sat on the porch and he and my dog ventured down to the grass when it was only very light drizzle. Seems to prefer soft/canned food".

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Kelly started her journey at Saving Grace as a slightly anxious but definitely sweet little beagle mix... Really, who wouldn't be a little concerned with such big life changes? Since arriving in her foster home, she has blossomed into a girl who absolutely loves her humans and wants nothing more than to be near them. As you can see, she is adorable, around 15 pounds with a short tri-color coat and freckled face...she looks like a tiny St. Bernard with short and slightly bowed legs! While her history before rescue is uncertain, she needed a day in her foster home to decompress before deciding the pups in the home could be trusted and another couple of days to decide her foster parents were okay, too. Once she did, she has settled into the most loving, submissive girl who is her very happiest when she is cuddled on the couch or snuggled up in a soft bed near her people. She is hoping for a forever person or family who will show her the kindness and patience she needs to become the perfect dog she is meant to be. For the first couple days, she showed some tendencies to protect her food, probably a remnant of not knowing where her next meal might come from, but has since learned that her foster canine siblings won't steal her food! She likes to have her own space to enjoy her meals, and she takes treats like a perfect little lady. She would prefer a quiet, laid-back home with adults and perhaps older children, but she would likely not be eager to play or snuggle with small kids. She is doing well with house-breaking with a consistent schedule and positive reinforcement (she will also use her foster sister's potty pads in a pinch). She enjoys the pet door and fenced yard, and would appreciate continued help with leash training. She could take or leave a canine sibling.... Her humans are her top priority, and she's hoping someone out there will make her THEIR top priority! Whomever that is will be rewarded with endless love and devotion from this sweet soul.

Story
**AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS** Marybelle is simply the belle of the ball! She is sweet as can be and just wants to be your best friend 24/7. Marybelle is a submissive girl who responds to corrections quickly. She can be a bit timid though, so loud noises and fast movements are not her favorite experiences, especially as she adapts to new surroundings. Marybelle loves to lounge in a dog bed all day and will be even more cozy if she has a blanket she can bury under! If she can be near and snuggle you for the night, she will not make a peep. She much prefers sleeping with you to being in a crate, and who can blame her when she's this precious?! Marybelle gets along with the senior dog in her foster home. Cats catch her interest, but she is more scared of them than curious, so she will likely be able to coexist with cats just fine. We think she would be most content in her forever home as a solo pup, or perhaps with a calm pet friend. She seems to be mostly potty trained and generally goes to the door when she wants to go outside. Like a typical beagle, Marybelle thoroughly enjoys checking every scent in the yard! While treats aren't as enticing to her, she will generally eat most of the treats and food she is given. She likes to have a set routine for feeding and will thrive with consistency. Marybelle just wants to give and receive love, and she will make a perfect best friend to anyone who cares for her!

Everyone meet Piper! She is a medium sized puppy who is full of love and sass - she could chase a ball endlessly while also being your best cuddle buddy! She is very smart and learning her puppy manners well, she lives to please! She has adjusted exceptionally well to a cushy home life and is getting along well with her doggie playmates. Piper does have some awkward wobbles with walking because she was born with underdeveloped knee caps, but that doesn't stop her from running and playing like any other pup! Her knee caps may grow in better as she gets older and our vets are monitoring closely. If you have any questions about Piper or her needs please reach out -- she is a perfectly imperfect girl! ##1852742##

Story
Shelby is the sweetest, most gentle dog. She will follow you around the house and enjoys being able to check in with her people periodically. She is a nester and likes to make a bed for herself with towels, sheets, and cozy blankets. Shelby sleeps well in her crate at night. She is very much a "beagle in that she is vocal about her thoughts and opinions. She will bark to alert of things she sees out the window (like when a particularly fun-looking squirrel runs by). Because of that, Shelby is not the best fit for apartment life. She is responsive to correction when she barks, but beagles are well-known for their vocal abilities so the urge to alert you will always be there. Shelby has been gentle and friendly meeting other furry friends (both dogs and cats). She is absolutely fine being around them but isn't the type of dog to engage in wrestling matches or playtime. She's more of a calm companion instead of a playmate. Shelby has been through a lot in life and as such is timid about meeting new people or when there are new/unexpected noises. She needs patient, loving people to continue to show her that everything is OK and she is safe. Shelby will bond very closely with her forever person and look to them to feel safe and secure. She'd love people who have a lot of time to be home with her. If you are looking for a sweet, awesome smaller dog, Shelby might be the right dog for you.

Baxter is THE sweetest boy! As a senior dog, his energy and outside needs (long walks are not needed) are low but he truly enjoys just rolling around in the grass and sitting in the backyard...as long as you're close. Baxter likes to be attached to you at all times. If you move, he moves right on with ya. He insists on many snuggles and constant love. So if you're someone who likes to sit on the couch with a furry companion, he's the dog for you! He will walk up to anyone and demand pets and no one can resist his charms. In true beagle fashion, he's quite stubborn.... he'll get up to move when he decides to! He's a great eater and will happily stare at you non-stop if you're trying to eat. He WILL cry when you leave the house but not for long and he will sing you a beautiful song of joy upon your return!
