Story
Eddie is 6 years old and was rescued from a kill shelter in Lawrenceville, VA. They think he was used as a hunting dog and then released into the woods to fend for himself for a year or more before he was found and taken to a shelter. When he’s let out every four to five hours he’s had no trouble only using the bathroom outside but any longer and he will use the bathroom inside. He can’t be kept outside without supervision because he’s been able to climb out of a 8’ tall fence. He’s a very very sweet dog and wants to be loved on all the time. My grandma is 76 and just can’t dedicate the time she needs to make sure he has the attention he needs. He’s a funny dog, tremendously entertaining and has never showed aggression towards any person or dog. He just has a lot of energy and is very strong willed about needing a lot of attention. I know he could make someone really happy and I’m just hoping he can find the home he deserves.

Story
We are looking for help in finding a new home for a sweet ~8-10 year old Beagle/Bassett mix, Chelsea. She is my mother in laws dog, and sadly she is in the hospital and will not be returning home. She rescued Chelsea in March of 2021. Chelsea is a chill dog who loves humans and is looking for her next family that wants to snuggle up on the couch! She is house trained and has also been trained to stay in the yard without leash. Chelsea needs to go to a home where she would be the only dog as she currently is afraid of other dogs (even small ones). She would get along best in a quiet home as she sometimes gets startled by loud or unexpected noises. Please let me know what questions we can answer about this sweet girl!

These pups are in Wake Forest, North Carolina too!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** *** AVAILABLE ON-SITE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** In golf lingo, a birdie is excellent and worth cheering about! Well, this Birdie is worth cheering too! This sweet beagle gal is a kisser and a hugger, and she is not shy in the least. Birdie seems to get along with all dogs. While in foster, she got along well with her foster's dogs, a bulldog and a beagle, and was cat-compatible, being curious but basically ignoring the kitties. Birdie is still working on potty routine and using pads in the meantime. She is loving being in a house where she can explore and find all sorts of interesting items like Benebones and fun toys to chew on. When Birdie gets the zoomies, it's so fun to watch. While inside, she likes to hang with you and will happily curl up while you work. For outside time, she loves to take walks and does well on a leash. She does like to stop and smell the roses (or rabbits!), but after all, she's a beagle, that's what she does! Birdie is good in her crate; if she's not ready to go to bed, she will voice her objection but settles down quickly and sleeps quietly through the night. She is happy to greet you in the morning with a wagging tail and a kiss good morning! Come meet this sweet girl and let her woo you with her soft caramel eyes!

Story
Short legs and ears that go on forever as well as coat that looks like he came from the nearest city's dog show extravaganza, Briggs is a model beagle and he is looking for some beagle loving people to come and scoop him up! Briggs is an adult male beagle who weighs a solid 35 lbs full grown, making him look like he might have stopped for a brunch at his namesake's restaurant a few too many times. Briggs is not really a runner, never a marathoner and definitely a sniffer around-er. He does wonderfully with other dogs and has an easy going attitude. He would easily melt into an existing pack and seems very at ease with other animal friends. Briggs is great in his crate and we haven't yet heard the howling of his people come from his mouth so doesn't seem to be likely to end up on the talk show circuit. Briggs is a beagle beauty and will make a fabulous family member! *Weekend Host feedback: "Briggs is such a sweetheart and just the perfect dog! He loves his humans and would follow you around everywhere. He's more interested in getting constant pets than playing with his toys. A velcro dog indeed. Briggs also adores his reflection and would stand in front of the firespace to stare at himself. He stops by almost every car on walks to appreciate his beauty (who can blame him? he's the ultimate cutie!) Walks nice on the leash at a slow pace. Loves his humans".

Story
If you love to snuggle and get really excited when good meals are served and consider yourself a foodie in need of a foodie friend, Circus is TOTALLY your guy! Circus is a beagle buddy who is an adult weighing around 28 lbs full grown. He may look kinda reserved at times but he has his loves and food bowls (filled with food) and people lovin's is right in his wheelhouse and he will fire up like you wouldn't believe. Circus does wonderfully with other dogs, bigger and smaller matters none to him. He is a lover of all people big and small too and could fit into any home that would love a guy small enough to fit on your lap with a smeller big enough to want to take in the whole world around him. Circus is a good boy in his crate, rides well in the car and is ready to head home with you ASAP. This beagle is the sweetest guy around and is sure to make life as fun as....a circus! *Weekend Host feedback: "He attaches to the human immediately- followed me all the time. He can live with or without other dogs, mostly wants his human. He was awesome during the downpour so we sat on the porch and he and my dog ventured down to the grass when it was only very light drizzle. Seems to prefer soft/canned food".
