Story
Hi there, future family! My name is Ginger, and I'm here to tell you all about why I'm the perfect addition to your life. My beautiful eyes are one of my best features. They are big, bright, and full of love, just waiting to gaze adoringly at my new family. Everyone says my eyes have a way of melting hearts, and I can't wait to use them on you! I'm a 1-year-old spayed female, and I weigh a perfect 35 pounds, making me the ideal medium-sized companion for all your adventures. People think I might be a Beagle mix or maybe a Jack Russell Terrier, but honestly, who really knows? What I do know is that I'm 100% adorable and ready to bring joy to your home! I wasn't always as happy-go-lucky as I am now. I had to go through that pretty tough heat wave a few weeks ago when I was a stray, and let me tell you, it was not fun! Panting and trying to find shade was exhausting, but I stayed strong. Now, with a little love and care, I've blossomed into a girl who goes with the flow and loves human interaction. There's nothing better than snuggling up with my people or getting belly rubs. I thrive on attention and affection, and I've got plenty to give back! I'm GREAT with other dogs! I love making new furry friends and playing together. Whether it's a game of chase, a romp in the yard, or just hanging out, I'm always up for some fun. I'm a social butterfly and fit in well with any pack. So, if you're looking for a loving, playful, and good-natured companion, look no further! I'm Ginger, and I can't wait to meet you and become the best friend you've been dreaming of. Let's make some amazing memories together! Love and tail wags, Ginger Ginger's adoption fee is $275. Story
Gert's foster home is still learning about him, and he will be available for adoption on 8/31/2024. In the meantime, feel free to submit an adoption application. Hi there! I'm Gert, and I'm here to tell you all about me! I'm a young, fun-loving pup who just turned one year old! I was found wandering around as a stray, but now I'm looking for my forever home. I might look a bit like a Beagle with my gray and white coat, but I'm a mix of who-knows-what-and that just makes me extra special! I'm all grown up and weigh a perfect 32 pounds, which means I'm just the right size for cuddling on your lap or taking up a cozy spot on the couch. Don't let my size fool you, though-I've got a big heart and plenty of love to share! I'm pretty good at making friends, especially with other dogs. I love playing and getting along with everyone I meet! I've got a curious nature and an adorable face that'll make you want to give me all the pets and belly rubs. You might notice I've got a little something extra-just look at my goofy grin in the photos! I can be a bit silly, but that's just because I'm so happy to be around people and ready for my next adventure. My big, bright eyes will always be looking to you for the next bit of fun we can have together! So, if you're looking for a loyal, playful, and downright adorable companion, I'm your guy! Let's make some new memories together-I promise I'll bring a smile to your face every single day! Love, Gert Gert's adoption fee is $275. Story
Viktor is currently fostered in Mentor Ohio, and his adoption fee/donation is $150 Update 10/4/2021 Viktor was seen at a Behavior clinic and is on medication for his anxiety issues and not being able to be leashed. His foster said he is making progress with wearing a leash but it is slow going. He is doing well with the other dogs in the foster home. Victor update 4/23/2020 Viktor Requires a fenced yard with direct access from the living area Victor has really settled down A LOT in his foster home!! In fact he has really bonded with one of his foster fur brothers (Jasper) The two of them have become like peas and carrots!! They do everything TOGETHER! Sleep together, play, run, chase, practically attached at the hip. We are so impressed with how well he is doing. However we recently had him stay with a different foster home for a day or two, just to see how he did away from his normal environment, and away from Jasper. We wanted to test him, and see if he was ok, and not revert back to the old “FERAL VICTOR” Well unfortunately he reverted back to acting extremely feral in the new foster home. He would not allow anyone in the house to touch him, he constantly ran away from any and all human interaction. He would find a corner to hide in and just shake and tremble for hours. Once they were able to get him outside in a fenced yard, he kept running around the yard, trying to get away, and it took over an hour to get him back in the house. Victor CANNOT be leashed to this day. If his foster tries to put a leash on him, he freaks out, and pulls, thrashes trying to escape his collar to get away. After trying the different environment, we had to get him back to his original foster, we couldn’t let him be freaked out like he was any longer. Once he was back “HOME” he went right back to being his happy self, and was SO HAPPY to be back with his Buddy Jasper!!! He is going to need a very experienced, special adopter, one that has a SECURED fenced in yard, this is a MUST, there are NO EXCEPTIONS!!! They will need to have at least one or two other dogs for him to bond with, as he cant handle being an only dog, because of his feral background. The best case scenario for victor, would be to get adopted along with his buddy jasper (2 yr cocker spaniel special needs). It would be the best possible home for him, but we realize this is not an easy thing to do, it is our wish though, that this could happen for both of them. Original Bio Hi there, My name is Viktor, I am a beagle mix of some sort, and I am only 2 yr old. I had a rough start in life, I was born in the wild to feral mother dog, and the animal warden had to trap me to catch me!!! I was so fearful of humans, I had no social skills at all, and took quite some time to come around when being near humans. I am happy to report, that I am now ready for adoption!! I am able to be petted, loved on, and live like a real dog, isn’t that so cool!! I am living with many other foster brothers and sisters, the four-legged kind that is. I get along well with them, and like to play, I still have a ways to go when it comes to being leashed, and walking without freaking out!! I will need a forever home that has at least one other dog, because I get my confidence from them, it’s a comfort mechanism for me, and I would be sad if I were alone without another dog as a friend. I need to be in a fenced in yard when I go outside, I am learning about something called housetraining, and I think I am catching on. I do my business outside when my foster mom puts me out, but I do still occasionally make a mistake. I am used to my crate, and I stay in there every day when my foster mom works, you see it keeps me out of trouble!! I am a small dog, only about 20 lbs, I am full grown, and will not get any bigger, so if you are looking for smaller, then I could be your dog!! Oh, I do have a bad habit of chewing things, so I am told I am not supposed to do that. I like to chew, its fun, but these humans tell me that is NOT NICE, and I get into trouble when I chew up something.I will work on being a good boy, I promise, I just need to be trained I guess, can you help me? I will give you lots of love in return!!! Viktor is neutered, current on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
