Story
Charlotte is a sweet girl surrendered to us after her owner passed away. She is mostly a couch potato but gets the occasional zoomies! Charlotte does fine in home alone and not crated. Charlotte has the potential to live with other dogs, with a proper introduction. She is currently working on leash training, and doesn't realize her size. Charlotte also does really well with older children! Charlotte has been living with a cat in foster and does well with it! She will thrive in a calm home! Story
Sam was an owner surrender that came to us after a lifetime of living outside on a chain :( However, you would never know he lived outside with chickens based on how well he has adjusted to indoor life in foster! He is housebroken, gets along with female dogs of all sizes - we have found that he may be male selective. He gets along with young kids and toddlers. Sam has not been tested with cats. Sam is a cuddle bug who loves to sit in your lap for pets. He listens well but is a typical beagle with his nose to the ground and therefore needs a fenced in yard to explore in. He loves playing outside in the fenced yard for a few hours a day and then comes in for naps and to play with his toys! Sam still struggles with walking on a leash and we are working on slowing down his pace. Sam is new to toys so he loves his assortment of Kongs, bones, and sturdy chew toys. Sissy, 16 yrs old in March 2024, was taken in from a one time owner who is currently in a Nursing Home. This wonderful lady spent some time overweight but is now at a prime 28#'s. She is spayed, agile with a very slight limp, takes treats gently, has been in mulitple dog homes for visits, on thyroid medication controlled and maintained. She lived in a first floor apartment but has shown she can do steps. Sissy can potty on leash or in a fenced in area. She isn't a typical lap dog but friendly loves to be petted on the head. As with all dogs Sissy learned silly habits and if you scratch her back end she thinks shes going outside for a walk. She keeps a subtle awareness of her surroundings.

Honey Bee had a rough life prior to rescue. She was pregnant, heartworm and Lyme positive and also had a bum leg. It has been a long road to recovery, but she feels like a new dog now! She is about 3 yrs old and only 22lbs. Dog, cat and people friendly. She does need a fenced yard. Her right front leg has an old fracture, but is healed and does not warrant amputation. She is spayed, microchipped and has her vaccinations. She has been treated for heartworm and Lyme disease and doing so much better. She still needs crated when you leave and at bedtime. This is used to cover vet care, vaccinations, food etc. We are a rescue group, not a shelter and we foster these animals at our home.
