Story
Dixie is such a sweetheart, a laid-back beagle. She was one of 4 beagles that were surrendered to us, and all of her siblings have found their forever homes. She adores going for walks and just chilling with people. Just a typical beagle, and she loves other dogs. If you are looking for a loyal friend, this is your girl!

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Beagle lovers, where are you? Taylor (Swift) IS AVAILABLE for adoption! Taylor had been adopted but was returned due to her adopter being allergic. Taylor is safe in one of our amazing foster homes and ready to find her forever home! This little lady appears to be a Beagle mix. She is about 10 mo-1yr old and weighs about 30 pounds. She is a very friendly, smart, and loving little girl. She was rescued off the streets and she seems to be very grateful for a safe place, a steady diet, and affection. She knows the command sit both by saying sit and just using the hand signal. She responds well to her name and responds to “come here Taylor”. She loves to play fetch, is learning 'stay' and is house trained (but accidents should be expected as she gets used to her new environment). She walks great on a leash. She rides well in the car. She gets along and plays well with other dogs. She can be a little rough with smaller dogs. She’s great with kids. She is still in the puppy stage and at times playfully nips. She has seen the cats in her foster home through a baby gate and through the cat door. She has sniffed them though the gate and cat door and has not acted aggressively. She is high energy and enjoys playing with the dogs in her foster home but she seems to be able tell when her foster siblings need a break from playing and leaves them alone. She would definitely benefit from a fenced yard or have a dog park she could be brought to to be able to run around off leash and burn off some energy. Taylor loves to have a lap to sit in and loves to sleep glued to your side. She is somewhat timid/afraid when first meeting new people, but given a few minutes and a treat, and then she’s fine. She is sweet little girl and just needs a home of her own.
