Story
Just look at those eyes! Pictures don't do this little guy justice. Turtle was one scared boy when he first arrived and he's doing great settling into his foster home. He loves the companionship of his furry foster siblings. At just about 20 lbs., he’s a small guy with lots of personality once he feels comfortable. He would do best in a home with older kids (or no kids) as the littles move fast and that can be scary. **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization.  We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower.  If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received. ##2303924##

Story
This handsome lemon beagle is a shy guy, but warms up fairly quickly to us humans. He was brought to a shelter after his foot was caught in a fox trap. He's settling in to a foster home, learning all the ins and outs of being a well-loved canine. He does find comfort with his foster siblings and would do best in a home with another dog. Gumbo is new to the rescue and we will update his bio as we learn more about him. **This dog is heartworm positive and will be treated by the rescue and will be available for foster to adopt for a local family in or near Charleston, SC that is comfortable with the restriction requirements for the duration of treatment. Story
🌟 Meet Farah 🌟 This sweet one-year-old beagle mix has come such a long way since she was rescued in March 2024 from the woods of Elloree, SC. Farah and her siblings had no human contact and were terrified of people. At first, she was so scared we couldn’t even get close to her—she would cower or run away. Thanks to her amazing foster family, Farah has blossomed into a gentle and loving pup. Here’s what her fosters have to say: 💖 Farah is a shy girl at first but warms up quickly to love and patience.
🏡 She’s potty trained and adores snuggling on the couch.
🐾 Farah loves to run and play, her big floppy ears bouncing with every leap. 💧Farah loves playing in the water!
👶 She’d do best in a home without young kids, as fast movements can still make her nervous. Farah is fully vetted (46lbs) and ready for her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, tender companion with a heart full of love, Farah is waiting for you!

Story
Ipkiss is a 7 month old Beagle German Shepard Mix. He was born on a farm near Ridgeville, SC. He is an energetic puppy but also loves to cuddle. He definitely loves to eat and play with other dogs. Ipkiss was given to my sister-in-law, however, she has decided she is not ready for the responsibility it takes to care for a puppy. She is ready to take him to a shelter, but I would like to get him into a good home instead of leaving his well being of life to chance. I am taking care of him until I can find him a good home, but I am currently in the military and gone all day so I’d like to find him a good and loving home as soon as possible. He was given most of his shots on the farm, however, I do have record of his Parvo and Rabies shots (including Rabies Tag). Also, the neutering is up to the adopter. It is not mandatory if you would like for him to not be neutered. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Story
Lola is a sweet and sassy four year old(?) girl who loves snuggles and treats. She came to me by accident and in very rough shape. I was able tohelp her slowly get well and get her house trained and crate trained. She will even shake hands (sometimes). Her favorite chew toys are stuffed ducks and food toys (the squeakier the better). Her favorite treats include deli meat, cheese, blueberries, and pizza crust. She does have stranger danger, so even though she did fine with my 3 year old nephew, I am not recommending a home with young children. She was also okay with the other dogs in the home at the time, but struggles with introductions, so slow and steady and patient is the key with her. Give her time, tell her she's pretty, and bring treats - she will be your new best friend in no time - who will always want to snuggle. I am moving out of country and can't take her with me. My family is still recovering from hurricane Helene. Please give my good girl a good home.
