Murphy is a friendly, playful guy just looking for a buddy. He had a rough start in life - when his rescuers found him he was alone, withdrawn and so, so hungry. But his big heart and sweet nature quickly helped him overcome that beginning. He loves to be wherever his friends are - he’ll lay on the floor of the bathroom while you get ready, he’ll hang out on the couch while you watch tv, or he’ll go on a walk for as many miles as you want. He’s potty trained and VERY smart - his fosters think he’ll learn whatever you want to teach him. He knows “sit” and “wait” for food, and he’s practicing his leash manners. He loves other dogs and was in a foster house with 5 female dogs with no issues (we told him that was brave and he’s to be commended). While he was on his own he contracted heartworms, and though that treatment has been hard on him, he’s been good-natured and sweet throughout. He’s been a favorite at the vet’s office, and there were some happy tears shed at his last appointment to see that this very good boy has come so far. He loves all the foods and treats, squeaky toys, walks where he gets to sniff everything, and the occasional belly rub. He’ll say ‘howdy’, but he’s not an excessive barker, and at 46 lbs, he’s the perfect size for running in the yard or sleeping in your bed (or near it - he’s happy either way). Because he’s young, his energy might be too much for an infant or toddler, but he’d be a great friend to kids 7-8+. He’s cautious when he meets people, but he warms up quickly (we’ve told him a lot of the best people are the same way). Murphy’s forever family will be lucky to be a part of his incredible story

Meet Cooper Davis, a 5-7 year-old, 30lb. Beagle mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Cooper and his buddy were found as strays on the streets. Although their owner was located, they were unable to continue caring for them, so now Cooper and his buddy are in CAMO's care in the Houston area, eagerly searching for their forever home. He loves humans, dogs and would be great with older kids. Will bark at cats, but not hurt them. He loves walks and human snuggles. He's doing great on potty training..consistency is key. Since he is a beagle aka love to dig and escape, would need a safe yard and eyes on him. Cooper is a happy-go-lucky boy who gets along wonderfully with other mild-mannered dogs. His gentle and friendly nature makes him a great companion for older kids, and he would be an excellent family dog. Cooper's adaptable personality means he would thrive in any loving environment. While Cooper is a smart boy who takes direction well, he will need an adopter committed to maintaining a consistent routine to continue his house training, as he was likely kept outside in the past. With patience and love, Cooper is sure to become a well-mannered and loyal companion. Cooper is heart worm positive but the rescue is treating him for it. Adoption fee is: $300.00 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Story

Bronson is a package deal. His life long friend, Phoenix (in picture), must go with him. She is a matli-poo mix. Both dogs are trained extremely well. I originally adopted Bronson on my way out of the Marine Corps in Aug of 2012. He was just turning 1 when I adopted him (allegedly born August 25th 2011). The beagle part made him hard to manage, his nose took over any chance it had. I focused on training him over the next 6 months, and it was successful. I haven’t walked him with a leash (when allowed) for over 11 years now. He’s trained very well in that way, as well as general commands to direct him towards, away, sit or lay as a command before eating, etc. and both dogs do this well. Phoenix is a little more of the free spirit. Although she is trained well, she thinks every person and kid she sees is her friend. She will listen to not go towards them (I walk both off leash always), but her initial instinct is to walk towards them. On leash they are essentially perfect.
