Meet Sammie Lou! This adorable senior girl was surrendered to us after her owner passed away. She’s a 10 year old beagle/basset hound mix and she weighs about 48 pounds. She’s SUCH a sweetheart and she’s good with all people and other dogs. Meet Tom! He’s a 9 year old little tan beagle mix weighing about 35 pounds. He’s smaller than he looks in pictures! He’s super affectionate and sweet, and he loves kids. He’s fantastic with other dogs and loves to cuddle cats, too. Tom came to us because his owner became sick and unable to care for him. Tom is house trained and has good manners. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing this sweet guy, Wishbone! He is a 1-year-old, 22lb Beagle/Mini Aussie mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Wishbone is an awesome little guy who will make an amazing addition to any lucky household. He walks well on leash and loves to go on adventures. He is treat motivated, which will be great for training purposes. Wishbone is an active dog and will thrive in a home that can handle his energy and bounciness. He plays well with others and would be a great additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He is a high jumper and will require a tall fence and good handling. We recommend no small children or dog-savvy children as he is still learning some manners and can be bouncy. Wishbone is so loving and has one of the softest coats and amazing eyes! Wishbone is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

She can climb chain linked fences so much be in a secure yard with a privacy fence or an apartment. Mrs. Puff has tested positive for heart-worms so will go home with the medications needed to slow treat it. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin cinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
