Story
Nyla is an energetic and goofy black and tan spayed female Rottweiler, born in December 2021. With her vaccinations fully up to date, she is ready to find her forever home. Nyla has thrived in the company of other dogs, showcasing her friendly nature. While she hasn't been around young children, she would likely adapt well to older, sturdy kids and teenagers, though she does have a tendency to jump with excitement. This playful girl has boundless energy and would flourish in a home with a fenced-in yard, where she can indulge her playful spirit. With regular exercise, Nyla's energy can be appropriately channeled, making her a delightful companion. She loves to engage in tug-of-war and is known for her adorable "Rottweiler rumble" along with other playful vocalizations. Her favorite toy, a Nylabone, is easily shared, as she shows no signs of resource guarding. Sadly, Nyla has spent far too much time in a crate. We believe that her ideal home would minimize crate time, allowing her the freedom she deserves. We envision Nyla happily living with active adopters who can match her energy level—hiking enthusiasts and outdoor lovers would be a perfect fit! Currently located in the Philadelphia/Lower Bucks area, we strongly encourage local adopters to apply, as it allows us to better support you and Nyla in this journey. Don’t miss the chance to add this spirited and loving companion to your life! Apply today! https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

Story
Mark is a distinguished gentleman who was sadly surrendered to the shelter when his owner had to move and couldn’t take him along. Despite this big change, Mark remains friendly and enjoys the company of people. Mark is an active and energetic pup who would thrive in a home with an active adopted who will take him for walks where he can stretch his legs. He’s crate-trained but he’ll need some help with house training. Mark is great with people but his previous owner shared he isn’t a fan of small animals, so a home without them would be best. If you’re looking for a loyal, high-energy pal looking for a second chance, Mark could be the fella for you! Videos: Tony the Tiger, Spot, Molly, and Mark drop leash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2IJUereJPg Behavior Notes: Per staff 2/26: “Playgroup notes: Pulled moderately to the yard. No handling attempted. Baring teeth and alert barking at the fence, barrier reactive, not steerable with water, after reacting just sniffed around and ignored other dogs, avoidant. Greeted male with high, loose wags, ears erect. Greeted female with butt sniffs, loose wags. Continued to be not steerable.” 02/25 Behavior Evaluation: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Mark was in a crate due to space. He came to the front with low wags, soft eyes and was not a fan of the leash going over him. He was dodging it, shaking it away and trying to avoid it. After a few tries the handler was able to leash him and he exited easily. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately / strongly, Very focused on scents while walking HANDLING: Mark was very stressed in the room and was painting heavily, whining and pacing a lot. He would come over to us when called but remained very stressed and exit focused. He allowed all handling without issue and was tolerant, but remained very stressed and did not lean in or solicit much- remaining focused on finding exits. PLAY: No interest TOYS: No interest Per owner: “Nice to human, don't like small animal. High energy, crate trained. Barks at strangers, friendly with children, does not like cats. More Exercise, very active, need big yard. Nice to family. Spend more time with him.” Medical Notes: Per an exam on 2/23: -Eyes were clear but probably red from stress. -Ears were waxy -Teeth have moderate staining -Bright, alert, responsive, seems stressed to have left owner and didn't like being restrained for vaccines ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
