You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- WAFFLES IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR AN INDIVIDUAL ASKING TO REHOME THEIR DOG. PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Waffles was born April 5th, 2021. She is 45-50 pounds,  Spayed, and up to date on shots. Waffles is NOT good with cats or small dogs. No young children due to her high energy. Understands basic commands. (Sit, down, stay, come). She gets along with other big dogs with slow introductions. Waffles loves to be around her 'person', will roll onto her back for belly rubs. Crate trained but sleeps well outside the crate once she's used to her surroundings. She will easily jump a 4' fence and can unlock a gate. She LOVES her Kong!!If you are interested in adopting Waffles please contact Tljaneski@gmail.com.  443-536-4076. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Louie was surrendered to Humane Society of Wicomico County because of a negligent owner, who did not provide the proper training to a Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix, which resulted in Louie killing his neighbor's goats. He is a smart, young beautiful dog, and very sweet with humans. A Belgian Malinois mix is a working breed that does  best in a home that is active and willing to provide training, and guidance.  Louie will require a strong leader and someone willing to work with him.   Louie is receiving training at the shelter and learning SIT and LEAVE IT. He is treat motivated. Louie seems to want to pull towards other dogs, we are not sure yet if he is aggressive towards them or wants to play. There is a video of him approaching a dog in a yard in a playful, non-aggressive manner. He may be dog selective.  Louie would not do well around small children. Older children who understand how to play with a dog may be okay He would do well with a fenced yard so he cannot have free range and go off property. Louis is definitely stressed out in the shelter environment.   Because our shelter is full, he is at risk of being euthanized to make space for others.  See more about Louie using the following link:  https://www.wicomicohumane.org/animals/chooie-looie/ PLEASE NOTE : THE DOG LISTED IS SHOWN AS A COURTESY TO ANOTHER ORGANIZATION OR FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO NEEDS TO FIND A NEW HOME FOR THEIR DOG. Story
*Say Hello to Sunny ☀️* Sunny is exactly what her name implies—a bright, warm, and downright delightful ball of energy! At approximately 10 months old and weighing in around 30 pounds, she’s the perfect pint-sized package of joy to turn your life from “meh” to “marvelous.” Sunny’s social skills are off the charts—she’s best buds with every four-legged creature she meets, whether they bark, bleat, or meow. She hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home (will need consistent encouragement/follow up) and sleeps quietly in her crate overnight. Her love for food makes training a breeze! And car rides? She’s your new road trip buddy, ready to hop in at the drop of a hat. Despite her sweet nature, Sunny can be a tad hesitant with new people, and who can blame her? Who wouldn’t after being dumped in a busy Texas shopping area parking lot, left behind by the family she loved. But here’s the thing—give her a minute, and she’ll decide you’re the coolest human ever, worthy of all her love and loyalty ❤️. So, who’s ready to bring a little sunshine into their life? Sunny’s here to brighten your days, one wag at a time ☀️ If you want to meet this amazing girl who is fostered in Frederick, MD please fill out our non-binding application at this link https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd Background if you wish to read more: Sunny was dumped in a mall parking lot and faithfully waited there for at least 2 weeks, in hopes whoever decided she can be discarded like trash, would come back for her. The fate of street dogs in TX, especially ones that look like her is grim. She was so desperate for food and attention that she was following people to and from stores attempting to get noticed. The good Samaritan that first took notice of her, observed her almost getting hit by multiple cars within a span of minutes trying to get people’s attention and navigate mall traffic. Luckily a local TX foster stepped up while advocates tried to network her for rescues and our rescue managed to find a foster last minute

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gorgeous, playful with typical Mal behavior Why is such a handsome and loving boy still available? Radar is a love-bug that wants adult humans of his own. He had a rough puppyhood (stray, shelter, bad adoption experience) and needs an experienced adopter (a Belgian Malinois is like a GSD on steroids). As a working breed and due to his high energy he won't be adopted to a home with young children. He loves to give kisses and get belly rubs, snuggle up on the couch, play fetch and go for walks and runs and needs a lot of exercise and engagement. He gets along and plays with his GSD foster siblings but constantly tries to hog his human's attention.  Radar 4283 is still looking for his forever home. Do you want a dog that will run (or walk) with you, loves to play and snuggle, is a great protector? Radar wants to know someone before allowing pets, but has warmed up to many people Radar is a sweet boy and loves his people and their friends, but wears a muzzle in public places as people like to come and pet him without asking as he is such a handsome boy. He loves to play and chase/wrestle his foster siblings and is eager to please. He needs reminders to heel on walks, and an attentive walker to keep him calm when other dogs are passing by, but has made huge progress with training - he is eager to please and food motivated. Please contact his foster for more information or to meet him triebi@hotmail.com. Story
Come meet handsome Beau!  He is a 65 pound, 13-month-old Shepherd mix who loves to play and cuddle! If he could have it his way, every day would be full of his favorite activities: morning and evening walks, eating kibble, peanut butter, treats and bones, working (keeping squirrels out of the yard), playing fetch (as much as possible), squeaky toys are his favs, obedience training, scent training, cuddling (as much as possible), afternoon naps, and going to sleep by 8:00 pm just to have the same fun tomorrow! He does well with having a set routine.  Of course, his foster parents need to work and need some breaks throughout the day, so Beau has learned how to keep himself occupied at home with his toys and chews as long as he had his requisite walk and play. Beau is perfectly house-broken and eager to learn new tricks and manners. He will go straight to his crate when commanded from anywhere in the house (although he still doesn’t like being locked inside it for too long by himself). He also is great at Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Come, Touch, and Spin. Beau could easily learn so much more because he is very smart and highly motivated by food, attention, and wanting to make you proud. One goal that we have for Beau is to show calm energy when he gets excited to see other dogs on walks and he is showing great improvement each day with positive reinforcement and training! Beau’s ideal family would be patient, active, and experienced with training dogs (or excited to learn)! Older children are a best fit. He would especially love having a big yard where he can 'work' and play. Come meet Beau and see if he will make a handsome match!
