Story
Scooter is a very sweet boy, good with children and cats. He does not react to deer, golf carts, walkers, bikers, or small dogs when out walking, but does show reactivity with large dogs by barking and pulling. In the home, he is so lovely, calm, and friendly. He is a very laid back and relaxed dog. He is extremely responsive with treats on walks and his reactivity is easily managed with the use of food rewards. He still needs a bit of distance from larger dogs (20-30 feet) to be able to stay calm, but has done really well when this strategy is used. He has worked with a trainer and would benefit continuation to build social confidence. Scooter becomes very attached to his family. He loves with his whole heart! He has done fine with little dogs. Scooter would love a foster family, foster to adopt or a forever home. If interested, you can complete our application at safeanimalhaven.orgAugust 17, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Hi. My name is Jack. I am told I am both a handsome and well behaved guy. I  am completely obedience trained and fairly laid back. Although I do need a fair bit of mental stimulation, I am part malanois after all. I am good with adults and children, but I need a home with no other pets.   I am housebroken, up to date on all my vaccines and microchipped. My favorite things are going on walks, obedience training, and enjoying a nice chew bone. But my most favorite thing of all is to hang out with my favorite human! If you think I might be the guy for you, please put in an application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Hi. I am new to the rescue. My foster mom will update when she learns more about me.For more information and to submit an application, got to www.arrfnc.com. Thanks!August 18, 2024, 12:27 pm

Story
Oliver was found by Columbia Animal Services on 2/1/24. He is believed to be about 4 years old weighing just under 80lbs and was neutered at the shelter on 2/9/24. Columbia Animal Services shelter is running at almost max capacity frequently and dogs that do not get adopted out risk euthanasia at the shelter. We are currently fostering Oliver to get him out of that environment. Oliver is very smart, he knows commands like sit, lay-down, shake, stay. He is house trained and has not needed to be crated when we are not home. He gets along well (for the most part) with our 2 dogs. He is also amazing with our 9yo son. They bonded immediately and Oliver follows him everywhere and sleeps in his room.

Story
Toby was rescued from a shelter as a puppy. My husbands grandparents could no longer care for him so we took him in. We did not plan on having a dog so our schedules are too busy to give him the home he deserves. He is very well behaved, will go outside with no leash. Will come right to you if you call his name. He is very shy at first but warms up to you very quickly. Very easy dog to take care of, but wish him to have more time to play outside and be loved on.

Story
I have 3 sweet puppies looking for a home! They are 9 weeks old. Buddy is a male and Pumpkin and Green Giant are females. They are German shepherds, but were very small and delayed compared to the rest of the litter and have a different appearance. We suspect something may be wrong with them genetically (perhaps dwarfism). With that being said, we did take them to the vet and they appear healthy, all checked out and their hearts sound good. I am happy to provide the vets info for more information. They are very sweet, love to be held, and are playful.
