Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Avanti** Avanti is a 4-month-old male Belgian Malinois (possibly a mix) puppy who was surrendered to the shelter by his breeder. Despite being only a teething puppy, Avanti is remarkably calm and demonstrates great potential for training. With consistent daily effort, his impressive intelligence can be effectively harnessed. He thrives on mental stimulation, regular exercise, and positive reinforcement. The result? A loyal companion who will respond well to your guidance. Avanti needs a dog-savvy owner who understands the importance of positive reinforcement and Do No Harm training methods. He enjoys being held, cuddled, going for walks, and playing with other dogs. He would flourish in a home with a large, well-mannered adult dog who can provide the necessary socialization and guidance he needs. Avanti is current on his puppy vaccinations and has been neutered. How to Adopt Avanti:                                                                                                                Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with any questions, answer yours, and see if you are a good match for this pup. The next step, crucial in the adoption process, is a meet and greet if a match is made. This is your opportunity to meet Avanti and see if you both connect. Please use a computer, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues with the application. Avanti has transitioned to a human-grade diet, avoiding kibble in favor of a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on the proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To adopt Avanti, there is a $495.00 adoption fee. All funds will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link and thoroughly answer each question so we can get to know you and make the best match.  https ://rompinpawsrescue .com Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 14, 2025, 11:50 pm

Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Rainier You can probably guess that when I was found and rescued it was raining, it was! However, I was named after the gorgeousness that is Mount Rainier :) I have the highlights and lowlights of the mountain on a sun-cloudy day :) I have a driven personality, not unlike my breed. I am a very medium sized dutchy shepherd and possibly have Belgian Malinois in me as well........and you must KNOW and LOVE the breeds. I make super arm candy, if you will exercise me (and my brain) we will be besties for life! Currently I am living my best life running around green fields of grass with my big radar ears charged and ready to go! You best believe I can hear everything! Better open that bag of treats as quietly as possible or I'll come running in! And I can actually hear you open your laptop to apply to adopt me! HURRY!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
This timid shepherd came in as a stray. She is timid and requires a calm person that understands that she needs patience. She would benefit from a confident k9 partner and positive training to help her come out of her shell. She is vocal, active, does well with male dogs. She would probably do best in a home without children.

This big boy is very protective of his family. He will require an experienced person that understands this breed. He would do well in a child free home but will pair with other dogs. He is described as obedient, active, playful, confident, and energetic. He enjoys a good scratch behind his ear, but not near his tail.
