She is very loving and loves to play or just nap beside you. She loves other dogs and loves to play in a large yard. She is approximately 18 months old and 55-60#(pretty much full grown). She needs a large yard or a lot of walks. She has had 2 weeks of professional training at their facility. We hate to give her up, but our schedule and circumstances have changed. Story
Help us welcome Spunky, a 15 years young, 15 lb Poodle mix who says age is JUST A NUMBER!!! It's hard to believe Spunky is 15 years old and we suspect he may be younger given the zoomies he does around the house after a bath and his perfect health!! You may remember we scooped him up from the shelter after his family surrendered him. They could no longer care for him and we didn’t wait a second to say yes, we would help him. Now he is ready to find a home for his golden years. Spunky is good with other dogs and loves to meet all dogs when out walking. He is a perfect gentleman to the ladies - only sniffs their noses - they all LOVE him! 😂 And he loves to walk - it’s his favorite activity in the whole world. He is great on a leash — walks by your side and never pulls. Spunky is also fine with cats; he ignores them. Spunky is a very calm boy and follows his foster Mom around the house and will lay down by the door until she returns. He likes toys a bit and will play by himself. He does not get on furniture unless invited and then enjoys sitting next to his human or maybe in their lap but he does not like to be petted or touched. We don’t know what this poor boy went through in his previous life but he will cry out if touched- we suspect abuse/punishment and as such he is traumatized from years of it.Despite this all, he years to be by his human's side and is very happy to be sitting next to you and looking at you adoringly. He does tolerate having his head/ears scratched while collar/harness/leash are being put on/taken off because he loves to go outside. As Spunky has reached this senior age, it’s not unexpected that his hearing is limited. He is not a dog food traditionalist either 😂 and prefers chicken, rice and some vegetables. He has come around and will now eat most dog treats. This sweet boy has a big heart and is ready to give it to YOU if will open your home and heart to him. If you are interested in adopting Spunky, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His adoption fee is $ 175.00.

Story
Help us welcome sweet Miles, a 12 yo, 14 lb miniature Poodle mix with special needs who just wants to be LOVED! Miles has a slight neurological condition that causes him to sway his head from side to side and affects his walking at times . We are looking for a home with one level living and a fenced-in yard. He is a very loving boy who gives kisses and feels most secure when his human is holding him or sitting with him on the couch. Miles is fine with other dogs and ignores cats. We have not observed him around children but due to his condition, he would do best in an adults only home where someone is home most of the day. Miles knows to go out to the yard to do his business and then wants to be brought back in. He loves his doggie bed and is the king of naps! If you are willing to open your home and heart to Miles, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION fee is $150.
