Beauregard Reese lll (born 2/21/2024) prefers to just be called Reese! He is a sweet, playful and we are told a Mini Bernedoodle puppy. (We are also checking DNA) On any account, Reese is good natured and takes everything carefully and in stride. He is looking for a home with the time and structure to raise and train a puppy. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us. Meet Shea... What a Pretty Girl.... Shea and some siblings came into the rescue as a petstore rejected. Sales for puppies in petstores are declining, so the pups can either head back to the orginial mill or be placed with rescue. We do not often get Mini Bernedoodles, so this is a rare opportunity to bring them in Shea is a 12 week old female Mini Bernedoodle. Her parents were both around 20 pounds, so we estimate her growth weight to be the same. Shea is 3/4 Mini Poodle and 1/4 Bermese. Her hair has a super tight curl. We would consider her to be fully hypoallergenic. Shea is a gorgeous black and tan girl. She is very playful, and confident. She is having a blast in foster with the other pups and she is playing with toys like crazy. Such a fun pup. Using a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training. Story
Martha! This adorable and sweet approx 22 lb 5 yr old girl is Martha. Martha came to us as a breeder cast off from a commercial breeding farm and is reportedly a "mini bernedoodle" although none of those things make sense to us. Whatever she is, cute is definitely it, and she is as sweet as she is cute. Martha is a little timid initially when meeting new people, but also is a willing participant with almost anything you have in mind. Put a leash on her and lift her into the car and she will just politely look out the window. Take her to the vet and she is agreeable with any treatments. Give her dog friends and she will happily coexist with them. She is just a go with the flow type of gal who would love a home that will be patient with her as she gets settled and adjusted. Martha is good in a crate and learning to walk on a leash. She will need a little work with housebreaking and may have some accidents. Martha does have a few minor health issues that are being worked out. She came to us with an ear infection that is responding well to treatment. She has an old cataract on one eye that does bother her at all and the vet does not think will need any treatment. She also has a couple of large bladder stones that are currently being treated with a prescription diet, however if they do not disolve within 4 weeks they will be removed when she is spayed by our vet, so they will be taken care of either way. However any adopter should be prepared to keep her long term on a prescription urinary diet to avoid more stones forming. Martha's adoption fee includes her spay (and bladder stone removal, if needed), vaccinations to date and microchipping. She is heartworm and tick borne disease tested (negative) and up to date on preventatives. She has also had a full grooming, for which she was a complete angel. Interested?
