DOB:   3/18/21              Approx. Weight: 20 Lbs Adoption Fee: $300 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! I came from a breeder and was kinda shy at first. My foster mom and dad take me out to potty every 3 to 4 hours and I'm doing pretty good. I'm starting to play with those squeaky things called toys. I'm not crazy about my kennel so my foster mom and Dad let's me sleep with them. I love to snuggle with my people and lay close. I get along with other dogs and kids love me. Looking for a family and a place to call my own.  I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Andre was born December 11, 2021. We met both of his parents on a farm in MO - and we took him home at 8-weeks old. His parents were protectors for the farm's family goats. He's about 100 pounds at 2 1/2 yo. At about 8-months old he displayed some guarding aggressive behavior that we hoped was only food related. He was socialized around kiddos, other dogs, and friends. And he got along perfectly with our elderly Havanese. We had hoped that these intermittent aggression issues were due to him not yet being neutered, but after his surgery things did not improve. He has aggressive bite behavior towards people other than us in the house, and he recently attacked our Havanese. We realized we have to draw the line somewhere and admit that we do not have the means to train him or give him land and a purpose that he so much deserves. He is currently very loving in our home to us - and we are praying that someone with experience with his breed or otherwise is looking to be his angel.

Jimmy has loved every person he's met! He's young, around one year old, and about 60 pounds. We think he's a Great Pyrenees mix, which means he's got some livestock guardian dog in him and explains why he might be a tad dog selective. Jimmy was removed for neglect from his previous home so the next home needs to be his perfect home. If you think your home is exactly what a great dog like Jimmy needs, please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387. Jimmy is in the KC metro. Transport might be available to the right home.
