Story
This cutie is Alfie. He is about 7 months old, and we think they may be a Great Pyrenees mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! He will likely only be medium sized when full grown. What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Alfie is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Alfie is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Loving, obedient, smart and easy-going? That’s Doris! A wonder dog through and through, this girl is great with kids, great with other dogs, highly trainable and treat motivated. She’s super smart, goofy, and so much fun! If you’re tired of playing- she doesn’t mind, she’ll just play with her toys by herself! She’s excitable but not too energetic to handle, lovey but not overly pushy about it, loyal but not too “velcro,” this girl is just the best of ALL worlds! If you are looking for a pup with a great personality, an interactive playfulness, who is smart and also super cute, I’ve got one for you! Her name is Doris Day! She is confident, engages quickly and easily with people, and is quick to give you her full attention in the name of a treat or a play session. Fall in love with Doris here: https://youtu.be/GOr51oL73W8?si=ooLf2DqUfNc7t7fF With a treat offered she will go right into focused-mode with an automatic sit and her full attention on you. That quality typically translates into a dog who trains with ease. Doris loves toys and when offered one will do a happy bounce as soon as she has it in her mouth. But don’t worry, she didn’t mind sharing with the other dogs or handing it over when asked. This girl is going to be on the larger size once full grown, currently believed to be in the 8-9 month range, she weighs 53 lbs and stands on long legs. Her parents are suspected to be a great pyrenees and a shepherd but in rescue we can never guarantee these details. She is 100% good dog, fluffy, beautiful and ready for a life of love! Doris is easy on leash, she’s still polishing her skills but with a little bit of practice this girl will be an awesome adventure dog! With how sociable and sweet she is, this girl will be so easy to take out and about! She’s not a barker, and greets all strangers with love and affection. Doris has met children ages 3-17 here at the rescue, and she’s done well with all of them! Doris can sometimes let her puppyhood get the best of her, and sometimes paws at kids or forgets her size, so she may be best suited for a home with older children, or dog-savvy little ones that are used to bouncy, fluffy goofballs like Doris. Doris is so much fun to be around and has her own little sense of humor! This girl does silly little dances while she plays, makes goofy faces for treats- she’s just a great time! When she was introduced to other dogs she showed her puppy nature, meeting dogs with a lot of enthusiasm- she was ready to play! Once the yard had a variety of dogs introduced she quickly found a favorite in a similar sized dog about her age who was just as playful. Doris would naturally love a playmate, one who was slightly older who could teach her the ropes would be great but given her confidence and smarts, she is perfectly suited for only-dog life as well. A few toys, adventures with you, and walks around the block to greet the neighbors would be plenty to keep her happy and fulfilled! Let Doris Day dance her way into your heart, soft kisses and playful love guaranteed! If there is anything not covered here that you are curious about, please be in touch! Be are committed to ensuring Doris is the right fit for you and your life. Email: kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions!
