Story
Meet Jamie! This gentle girl is the epitome of a chill couch loving, movie watching, nap taking, best friend. If you enjoy all of these things, Jamie is the one for you. Jamie is just so stunning, from her long Pyrenees like coat to her beautiful brown freckles. Her ears are just soooo soft, you can’t help but want to pet her all day long! And she might just let you! Jamie is dog friendly and cat friendly. Did we mention she also gives the best hugs? And snuggles? She is like a giant stuffed animal in real life! Could it get any better than this? Watch Jamie jam gentle queen here: https://youtu.be/7fRuvX3Z8eE?si=WIk5WkW6ngmPr9B_ Our staff says their favorite thing about Jamie is that she felt like easy company and offered calm companionship. She is not super needy, and when she wants attention she will come lie next to you. Talk about a dream girl! Even I want to take her home now! Jamie currently lives with 4 dogs and does extremely well. She has been very easy to introduce to new dogs big and small. Jamie does well even sharing her toys with other dogs. Her favorite toy is pretty much anything from the pet store right now. If her head is not in your lap you will often see her playing a short game of chase in the backyard with her foster sister or basking in the sun. We think this girl would do best in a home with a yard, and a few siblings as well. Jamie would prefer to have siblings that are low to medium energy just like her. She doesn’t really love when doggy friends get in her face, just like us, she enjoys her space and quiet time to do as she pleases. She likes to putt around, stopping to smell the roses. Jamie is currently working on her leash skills, and with some polishing we see her being a perfect 10/10! She is a pretty low energy girl, and with all that fur we see why! Jamie does fine in the car but likely wont be a go every gal as she does drool and pant some. Her favorite spot is curled up on her dog bed at night in your room. Jamie is potty trained and free roams in her foster home when left alone. She is not destructive and waits patiently until her fosters return. And man does she enjoy when you get home! She does a little skip and hop when she sees you then offers her paw and nudges her freckled face into your hand. Thats her way of saying she missed you! Jamie really would enjoy hanging out in the backyard with you, lying in the shade while you tend to a garden, or play with your kids. We can see her going with the flow and fitting in with really anyone! We don’t see Jamie being a good fit for apartment living, only because of her size. A girl like her needs some yard space to hang around! Jamie has not been officially kid tested, so we are happy to test her with anything you’d like. Just say the word! Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Loving, obedient, smart, curious, and adventure-ready? That’s Darla! A wonder dog through and through, this girl is great with other dogs, highly trainable, treat motivated, and is a cutie in a unique coat. One of my favorite things about Darla is how well balanced her energy is, if she gets excited, she is back to calm in just a moment, if she is a bit nervous- she gets curious, checks it out and just like that she is confident. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/mCwsTJdbJdY Darla is so fortunate to be in a loving foster home while she waits for her forever family. This allows her to learn and practice all the best manners and skills a house dog needs. This also gives us a true front row seat to her personality. Her foster family has nothing but praise for her. From how easily she fit right in to her quick learning of everything. From house training to manners around meals, she is attentive to directions and consistently quick to master new skills. Thanks to that she is both house and crate trained! Her foster family shared that she has never had an accident in the house and sleeps through the night quietly in her crate. She often chooses the crate to sleep at night but on occasion she chooses a cozy dog bed. On those nights she has been perfect, sleeping peacefully through the night. Darla is estimated to be just over a year old, she weighs 53 lbs, and is likely a Pyrenees/Husky/Shepherd mix but we cannot guarantee age of breed given she is a rescue. Also, I strongly suspect she may be a dog/deer mix- she you see the speckles and spots that run down her back you will see why this is my suspicion. However and whatever she is, she has a gorgeous and unique coat. When she was introduced to other dogs she showed us a calm, friendly approach. We do know she has a playful side, she lives with another dog in her foster home and the two of them have a blast together. Unfortunately, on the day we were spending time with Darla the weather was rainy pretty much all day, which didn’t bring out the playful side in anyone. Despite that, no matter the energy of the other dog or where they met, she was calm and respectful in her approach and all together easy-going in their company. Darla would love a playmate, and enjoys having a companion to navigate the world alongside but given how quickly her confidence grows she is suited for only-dog life as well. A few toys, adventures with you, and walks around the block to greet the neighbors would be plenty to keep her happy and fulfilled! Darla’s ideal home would be one where hikes and walks are a regular occurence. A house with a yard would be best given her love of bouncing around outside and her occasional awooowooo’s. Her foster family shared that they would guess she has some Husky in her because she loves to “sing.” It is pretty cute and a expression she doesn’t use excessively. With a treat offered she will go right into focused-mode with an automatic sit and her full attention on you. That quality typically translates into a dog who trains with ease. Darla enjoys toys and can easily self-entertain. If you’re tired of playing- she doesn’t mind, she’ll just play with her toys by herself! Don’t worry, she didn’t mind sharing with the other dogs or handing it over when asked. Same with food, Darla loves food but is unbothered while sharing treats, dinner or having her bowl touched. Darla will need a cat-free home, we suspect she has never met a cat before so when introduced to one she wasn’t sure enough for us to feel confident she wouldn’t chase a cat or stress one out with her every interested approach. She’s super smart, easy company and full of so much loyal love! She’s playful but not too energetic to handle, lovey but not overly pushy about it, loyal but not too “velcro,” this girl is just the best of ALL worlds! She is 100% good dog, fluffy, beautiful and ready for a life of love! It is really impressive to see how she handles new environments, she may be uncertain but she is still at ease, takes it slow, curiously checks things out and checks in with her people. She only needs a few moments before she feels good and ready for anything. Darla is easy on leash, but prefers a harness. It didn’t take her any time to understand the leash so nothing is set in stone there, you can try both and see what you and her prefer together Darla, her soft kisses and playful love are ready for forever! If there is anything not covered here that you are curious about, please be in touch! Be are committed to ensuring Darla is the right fit for you and your life. Story
First things first, if you've watched her video you probably already heard us saying "she's SO FLUFFY!" It was definitely a moment of an uncontrollable intrusive thought just had to be said. Her fluffiness is absolutely one of the first things you're going to notice about her and she is incredibly soft too! Watch her video and fall in love with this beauty: https://youtu.be/9vQ9--gIrGA?si=Ay31GwKYXTGFNSLd Snow Sugar is a Great Pyrenees mix approximately 2 years and currently weighs 65 lbs and we think once she's in her forever home, she'll gain a few love pounds. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Snow is very dog friendly and has met so many different types of dogs, all with varying personalities and sizes. She has been around shy dogs, dogs that are rude and pushy, dogs that rough housing around her, and dogs that are calm like her and she does great. Snow is not a playful lady with other dogs. She gives off more of the laid back chill, hangout type of vibes. So when she is around dogs that are all about play and have a more rowdy play style, she will give a very subtle "hey, I'm not the playful type" kind of boundary correction to those dogs and she goes on about her business. Which is for the most part, hanging out in the yard and enjoying the fresh air. She doesn't mind if dogs are playing around her having a good time, she is just the type that isn't interested in playing. If you have a playful dog in your home and you're looking for a playmate for them, Snow is not your girl but if you have a dog that is chill, likes to hang out and just enjoys the company of other dogs, then Snow is your girl. Snow has no problem the only dog in your life either and being the center of your world. She does not need the company of another dog to help her feel comfortable and open up nor does she need another dog to fulfill her energy needs. Overall, she is more on the calmer side and would be perfectly fine being your one and only. Snow would be a great work from home gal as well! She is so quiet (the only time she barks if someone knocks on the door or when she's outside talking away) in the house and knows how to easily entertain herself. She has her own stash of her favorite plushy toys and her foster says she is so cute when is playing with her toys. Snow loves to toss them up in the air, trying to catch them in the air (sometimes she does sometimes she doesn't LOL), and romping around in the yard with them in her mouth having the time of her life. Another one of Snow's favorite things, is her love fo the outdoors! She loves to be outside, run around, get the zoomies, explore all the smell, and enjoy the fresh air. There aren't many hiking spots located here in Texas but we do believe that Snow has the potential to be a great explorer and adventurer if that's your cup of tea. Especially in the colder states! She would absolutely love to be in colder weather and out of hot Texas! Snow can be a little shy at first when she is meeting people for the first time and when she is at new places but she loves people once she gets to know them! She does great in public and prefers places with less crowds. Snow is a great car rider, and her fosters leave blankets for her in the car and she just lays down the entire car ride. She is perfectly potty trained and her foster mom says Snow likes to spend upwards of 30 min outside. She just loves it so much! We are willing to test Snow Sugar with anything you need us in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
