Story
Meet Jerry, a one-year-old neutered male Bichon Frise with a soft, fluffy white coat, weighing in at just 4kg. This little guy might be a bit reserved at first, but offer him a treat, and he’ll quickly warm up to you! He’s not naturally the type to rush up to new people, but that’s simply due to a lack of experience rather than shyness. Once he settles into a home environment, his confidence will blossom. He’s comfortable with being picked up, handled, and groomed, making him an easy companion to care for.
Jerry is a social pup when it comes to other dogs! He happily greets both familiar and new canine friends, always ready to play. However, he’s quite the gentle soul—if a big, excitable dog like a Retriever charges toward him, he might let out a startled yelp and scurry away. Even when smaller dogs get pushy, Jerry’s too sweet to stand up for himself. He finds comfort in the presence of other dogs and feels much more at ease when he has a canine friend around. Because of this, he may be prone to separation anxiety if left alone for long periods.
His experience with cats hasn’t been observed yet, but he can be tested to see how he reacts.
Jerry has a moderate energy level—he enjoys outdoor activities but knows how to settle down and relax afterward. Since he hasn’t had much practice with walks, new or sudden sights and sounds can make him freeze and lie flat on the ground. With gentle encouragement and more exposure, he’ll grow more confident over time.
Food is never an issue for Jerry—he’s happy to share with both people and other dogs, showing no signs of resource guarding. While he doesn’t currently have severe separation anxiety, his strong attachment to other dogs suggests that it could develop if left alone too often. When he wants something, he isn’t shy about using his voice to express it, sometimes barking to get attention. He’s familiar with both pee pad and outdoor potty training, but in a new environment, some reinforcement may be needed.
With his sweet, gentle nature and love for both people and dogs, Jerry is looking for a home where he can feel secure and build his confidence. If you’re looking for an affectionate little companion with a heart full of love, Jerry might just be the perfect match!
