Story
My name is Kronos and I am a 2 1/2 year-old black nose/mountain Curr male. I’m a very friendly and happy-go-lucky guy when I’m comfortable in my surroundings. I have a great time playing with other dogs in the doggie park. I am a lovable and affectionate dog to my people and protective of them as well. I love their love and affection, I love going out on walks and being involved in outside activities. I’m a little overweight, so I need to get a lot more outside activity into my schedule. My dad just doesn’t have the time anymore to give me the activity and time that I need. I love to go on car rides because I am timid, meeting new people I am best with a dog experienced individual. I am available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
Joe is a stunning 8 year old black mouth cur mix that is ready to find his forever family❤️ Sweet Joe has a strong desire to be near his people, always. He’s a cuddle bug and loves being where his family is! He is good at being a companion dog, he plays well with puppies & is a protector of his people! He will bark when strangers come to the door but once he knows they’re cool, he will be their new best friend🐾 This handsome boy can be an adventure pup or a couch potato. He loves to go for hikes and runs, but he is also happy cuddling up on a couch with his humans! He likes other dogs, but prefers pup friends with laid-back personalities so he can be the “big dog in the house,” or he would be okay as an only dog! 🐶 Joe has a strong case of FOMO, so he always wants to know what you are doing and where you are going. He likes to follow his people around the house and get into the things they are getting into. He really just wants to be near his humans & doing whatever they’re doing.❤️ Joe needs an adult-only household, or one with older children. Poor buddy is scared of little kids and deserves a home where he doesn’t have to be separated from little ones, and can roam his home as he pleases. He is kennel trained, but doesn’t need to be kept in one because he isn’t destructive & he is house trained! Joe is a good boy that deserves a soft place to land after his family dynamic has changed. If you have an older, established household, please consider adding Joe to your family!🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Meet Waylon🏆 Waylon is an adorable 3 month old Black Mouth Cur/Carolina Dog mix. His mom is a petite girl weighing just 35 pounds so we expect Waylon to be on the smaller side of a medium pup when grown. 🐕 This cutie is a very happy puppy, he loves to play with his brother and any other dogs in his foster home who will play with him. Waylon thinks humans are pretty cool too and he is a great snuggle buddy 🧸 Waylon is crate trained and doing well with house training. He really enjoys food and treats and is a smart boy who picks up on things quickly and loves to make his person happy. 😊 Waylon would love a family with children and maybe another dog companion to play with. He would like a fenced yard to play with all of his new fun toys 🎾 If Waylon sounds perfect for your family, please submit the adoption application. He can’t wait to meet his new forever family and get started on his amazing future adventures 🎉

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ALMA-Boy was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. He along with his7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Alma-Boy is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 21 November 2022 and at the time of transport weighed around 35 pounds. Mixed breed dogs in Oman are referred to as Omani Wadi Dogs, with most of them being Saluki mixes. Alma is such a gentle and sweet boy, he is a little wary at first, but having been through all he has leaving his rescue in Oman and traveling to the US is a huge change. After just a few days, he has settled in great, he gets excited when I go over to the kennels, will now take treats, very gently, shares a kennel with two other dogs and does great. One of his kennel mates, CHIP a young cattle dog is really helping to bring him out of his shell, teaching him to play and having him curious in the toys and chews. He sleeps snuggled up with, I feel he gets a lot of comfort with Chips typical cattle dog confidence. ALMA is thin, although being the kind of breed, a sighthound mix, he will not need to gain much more weight, but a few extra pounds would have him at a healthy weight. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Alma-Boy is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $300. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats.
