Cami has a lot of energy and enjoys playing in our play yard. She requires a yard where she can explore and get some exercise. She will make the right family a wonderful companion. If you think you are the right family for her please complete a companion dog application on our website www.adoggie4you.org to set up a time to meet her. She's looking forward to having a new home! This dog was born around 12/2019, weighs 40 pounds and the adoption fee is $250. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin cinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Kennedy is a very pupular name for puppies!! And I am one of them! I was found by a really nice couple in their garage...I mean, I rescued myself...not once, but twice!! Let me not get ahead of myself.. I was looking for love and safety and happened to see the DOOR OPEN :) what I didn't realize is that it was the door to someone's garage!! That very nice lady reached out to my rescue and that night I disappeared!! She was so worried about me, I am a young and innocent puppy! So two days later I returned to her garage and 2/3's of my fur had been shaved.......very strange and kind of perplexing..... But fast forward to now, I am safe and ready for adoption!!! My hair has almost fully grown back, but that only adds to my charm :) I amsweet, smart, happy, leash and crate trained and ready for a real home!! Come and adopt me, I am waiting!! Elena is a black mouth cur/shepherd mix, about 2 years old, and 50-55 lbs. She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to "sit" and "wait" to eat her food until she is told to "go ahead." She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home. Would you be willing to give this sweet girl a chance?
