Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   Rambo is a 1 year old Doberman looking for his happily ever after with his lucky forever home! Rambo was taken in by one of our fosters after her neighbor needed Rambo to find a new home. No fault of his own, he is the best boy! Unfortunately people don’t always plan ahead when they buy dogs… but we promised Rambo his next home would be over the moon to have him! Rambo is a gorgeous boy who will delight any Doberman lover. He lives in a Dobie-loving foster home and is having the time of his life.    If you googled “perfect Doberman”, Rambo would pop right up on a Google “I’m Feeling Lucky” search! He is so sweet, friendly, and good-natured. He is loyal to a fault and adores his foster family, trotting after them through the house. He can keep himself occupied with toys for hours as long as he can chill in the same room as you. Rambo is also a star in the making and loves to sing along with the radio. Nashville, here he comes! Rambo loves his toys, from tennis balls to plush toys. He would love a home ready to hit the trails or road trip to the beach, but can also just as easily snuggle in for a movie marathon. Basically he is up for anything as long as he can do it by your side! Rambo loves hopping in the car and will perk up his ears when he hears the jingle of his leash. He is so loving and loves hanging out with his people. He will be the star of any party or gathering he arrives at. Basically, he is an All Star pup in the perfect Doberman sized package. What more could you ask for? We don’t know!  Rambo starts his morning with a long cuddle session before he goes outside for a potty break. He eats three times a day: 8 AM, 1 PM, and 5 PM. He has free access to the outdoors and he loves his backyard, as well as his human and canine foster siblings. He gets two walks a day, weather permitting, and trots alongside his foster brother. Rambo spends his days playing with toys, showing off his zoomies, getting cuddles, and exploring the world around him. When his foster family finishes work for the day, he gets a long snuggle session. His evenings are spent playing with his toys in the living room before he settles for some TV time. After one last trip outside before bed, he settles in for the night around 10 PM.  Rambo lives with an older Doberman and gets along fabulously with him, while still being respectful of his space. He has lived with cats and was well-mannered with them. His former home had kids and he adored them. He is still learning his size so some additional training would be beneficial for him (he is a world class counter surfer at dinner time). His leash skills are a work in progress, as he is just SO happy to check out the world. Rambo can’t wait to find his forever home and get his amazing life started!     Rambo is only an option for homes who have owned a dog previously. We will prioritize homes with large breed experience. Kids in the homes should be over the age of 10. August 19, 2024, 11:40 pm

Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Mutts, Meows and Matchmaking on Sunday, Aug. 18th from 9:30-12:30pm in San Mateo at the pedestrian zone on B street where the blue mural is located.   Adoption Fee: $650 Sprinkles is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog x Basenji mix who is ready to shower the world in puppy kisses and love! She currently weighs about 13lbs. YES, SHE IS TINY! We expect she will be in the 20-25lbs range when full grown. Don't be deceived by those pictures that make her look much bigger. You have to come see her in person! We rescued Sprinkles from the shelter after she was left there for reasons unknown, but what we do know is how absolutely amazing and gorgeous she is. She won us over instantly with her puppy dog eyes and her personality and we scooped her up and welcomed her into our rescue! We expect this gal to be a medium size when she reaches her adult weight. She has fabulous pointy ears and a gorgeous coat, making her irresistible as she prances around the world. If you are ready for a new best friend to take on the world with, meet Sprinkles!      Sprinkles is “one of the best puppies I’ve ever fostered” according to her foster mom, which is a huge compliment from a long-time puppy foster. She is fantastically well-rounded with lots of energy and flawless temperament. She would be a perfect partner for a long hike, a day on the lake, or a trip to the Farmer’s Market. Looking to unwind after a long day? Sprinkles is a total cuddle bug who will happily relax on the couch as she soaks up all the snuggles and belly rubs you have to offer her. Sprinkles is a total Princess who makes every blanket and pillow her throne. If you let her on your bed, she will settle in like the Queen she is. She would love an overflowing toy box of plushies and squeaky toys in her forever home. Like any cattle dog, Sprinkles is endlessly loyal and wants to be wherever her people are. She promises that with her in your life, you will never need to go through a doorway alone ever again!  Sprinkles sleeps through the night in her crate and wakes up around 8 AM. She gets some morning playtime followed by breakfast and a nap. Then, she cycles through playing, napping, cuddling like any good puppy! She eats lunch at 1 PM and has her evening meal at 5 PM. Throughout the day, she plays with her toys and occasionally works on her training in short bursts, to keep her attention focused. In the evening, Sprinkles settles on the couch after dinner for some more cuddles and kisses. After some more playtime, she goes out for one last potty trip before she goes into her crate for the night around 10 PM.  Sprinkles gets along very well with dogs of all ages. She loves people and greets every stranger with kisses and a wagging tail. She is just as sweet as can be. Sprinkles loves exploring her yard and will keep all the critters away in return for a nibble in the garden. She is food motivated and very smart, already picking up on basic training. She will be the star of any training class! Sprinkles is working on her potty training and crate training. If you’re ready for the cutest bundle of puppy love, adopt Sprinkles today!    Sprinkles is only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last five years. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9. August 19, 2024, 11:40 pm
