Story
Meet Indy, the sweet and spirited 2-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix who's been patiently waiting for her forever home for the past 9 months. This gorgeous girl has been flourishing in the loving environment of a foster home, but she's ready to find her permanent place in the world.Indy is a bit of a special girl, and she's looking for a home where she can be the center of attention as the only pet. While she's enjoyed short playdates with other dogs, her true love lies with her humans and her possessions, and she's not quite open to share them. But don't let that deter you - she has an abundance of love to give to her future family! Given her reserved nature, she's better suited for homes without small children. With her housetraining and crate training already mastered, Indy is eager to continue learning and growing with her new family. She's a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement and is always up for a new challenge. And while she may be a bit apprehensive about car rides right now, with patient and understanding companions by her side, she's sure to overcome her fears and discover the joys of travel. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl, then let's make Indy's dream of finding her forever family a reality. If you'd like to meet with Indy, please fill out an adoption application and her foster family will respond to you shortly. https://westvalleyhumanesociety.org/adoption/adoption-application/

Story
Meet Buddy, Buddy is a 1.6 year old Australian Cattle Dog blend. He weighs 63 pounds. Buddy is Participating in our Adopt From Home program, here is what his owner has to say about him,"Hi, meet Buddy! He is a Heeler Mix and as loving as can be! He is the most loyal dog I have ever seen and loves to be included in everyday activities. He has been a blessing to have as a sidekick but unfortunately, I'm going to have some work changes that won't allow me to see him as often as I should. So hopefully he can become your new sidekick! I adopted the dog about 5 months ago from West Valley Humane Society, very little is known about him such as age and breed and is primarily a heeler mixed with another breed. He has been great around all people but does not seem to like other male dogs at first. After acclimating him and another male dog together they did fine but at first, it seems they don't wanna get along. He has done great with female dogs though! He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, shake hands, stay, and roll over and he does amazing in the house! He does not like to be left alone though. He has gotten used to the outdoor kennel I have for him (which I'll give to you if you'd like it) and whenever I have to go somewhere that's where he stays. Overall he has been a great dog to have around and know someone will love to have him! Please let me know if you'd like to come see him, he'd love to see you! My number is (707)-951-4670"Buddy will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.Buddy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today. If you are interested in meeting Buddy, please reach out to Tanner at (707)-951-4670
