Story
Sparrow was adopted from us in February of 2023 and returned because he started jumping the short chain link fence. If he is going to be left in a fenced in yard, it will need to be a tall wooden fence. He is good with dogs, kids, and strangers. He does, however, seem to not like strange men. He does tend to growl and bark at men he does not know. He will time and patience before he fully trusts one. We do always highly recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. He has a high prey drive towards cats but when in a home with them, he is terrified. We do not recommend he be homed with a cat. While with a foster he was around cattle and we were told he did great with them. He is housebroken and crate trained. He rides well in a car and does well being groomed. He has done okay on a leash here at the shelter, but the previous adopter said that he does need leash work. A foster stated that he was a puller. He loves to cuddle and watch tv. Sparrow is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Story
Araya was adopted in 2021 and returned due to her extreme separation anxiety. Araya loves people, and cannot stand being left by herself. She will tear a wire crate apart, bust through a fence, and try to dig through a door. Her cold weather foster had her crated in a plastic sided crate and she did wonderful being left in that. When getting dog tested she was very nervous and not having a great time, having very stiff body language. We do always highly recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. While in her cold weather foster home, she did well enough with the other dogs but will resource guard her food and toys. She is okay with cats, but as with dogs she will resource guard her food and treats around them. She is very excitable when meeting strangers and children. Araya is a cuddler and has no concept of personal space. She is a trash digger and a kitty litter eater. She loves playing with squeaky toys and antlers. Storms and fireworks terrify her. She is not fully housebroken and will occasionally pee in the house. She has lost her leash manners here at the shelter and will pull to go where she wants; if let off of a leash she will bolt if not in a contained area. She will load well into a car but she is a nervous rider and will whine and will not settle. Her foster said 2010 Rom-Coms really help her settle down. Araya is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, de-wormed, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Story
Trophy was found as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a very big sweet lovebug who wants to be with you at all times. He doesn't like being in a crate and will attempt to break out. He will also try and squeeze past anyone who opens his kennel doors. He does okay on a leash. We do not know how he is with other animals. We always recommend a meet and greet with any current household dogs. We will update further as we get to know him better. Trophy is fully vaccinated, de-wormed, neutered, and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworms and is on prevention.
