Story
Meet Izzie, a two year old Doberman Pinscher/Border Collie mix. Izzie is a cuddle bug who loves to be around her people, her foster describes her as a Velcro dog. If you are looking for a girl with moderate amount of energy that gets the zoomies every once in a while, look no further than Izzie. All this girl wants is love, when you are on the couch she will nuzzle your hand to get some pets on the head and we think she deserves them! Izzie loves going for walks and to play with other dogs, she would do fantastic in a home with another dog that wants a companion. Izzie is truly an amazing girl with beauty and brains. Speaking of brains, Izzie figured out how to escape her Foster’s kennel so she needs a crate she can’t escape from. Izzie came to us because she got in trouble with some cats that were on the loose, but she has met cats while with her foster and has done well. We always recommend supervision when dogs are around cats. Izzie does have a preference for women over men, she can be won over by men but it takes time and dedication. We think that Izzie is a great girl and know you will think so too if you meet her, apply to adopt Izzie today. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Sunday, that’s right we are open all days of the week! A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal`s picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free puppies or puppies for sale, check your local Shelters for available dogs and puppies that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don`t Shop.

Story
Meet Saint, an eight month old male Doberman/German Shepherd mix weighing 63 pounds. Saint is a sweet boy who was a bit nervous when he first came in to us. He is kind of a goober and is a little unsure of new situations so he looks to his people for support. Once he gets all of the love and attention/reassurance he is a different dog. He is a friendly boy who just needs some socializing and training so he can approach new situations with confidence. Saint has met a small dog and done well, however, we do recommend doing a meet and greet if there is another dog in the home as Saint can be a bit of a dork and not all personalities will get along. He recently met a medium sized dog and just wanted to play like the dork he is, we adore this silly guy! He walks pretty well on leash, especially for his age! This pet is available for adoption on 1/7/2025 at 3:56 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
