I'm Solo! I came to Wags and Whiskers because my owner got in trouble and their family was unable to house me due to my size. I have a lot to learn still, and staff here are helping me to try to learn some basic commands, I've finally got "sit" down! I am potty trained, but after being at the rescue for a while, I might need a little patience and a few days to get back on a routine of being let out regularly. I do well with other dogs my size or larger that share my energy level, but I prefer to be fed alone, since I get super protective of my food around other dogs; I'll gladly eat in a crate or in a separate room. I love to chase cats, so please don't apply for me if you like your kitties. I have proven well with respectful kids as young as 7 so far, but I do pull the leash still, so kids shouldn't hold my leash by themselves yet. Marisol is a very hyper sweet girl, she’s very loving and she’ll always come to you to either play or slobber you with kisses. Unfortunately we are unable to keep her as my wife is currently pregnant and her allergies are getting worse with Marisol’s coat. She also has a little bad manners in jumping to greet people and that’s A big red flag for my pregnant wife and the baby bump. Also ever since we had to evacuate from Oroville due to the wildfire it was a little too much for us. She’s very active, but once she has her energy drained she’ll be the perfect dog to cuddle and relax. We are heartbroken to see her go as we rescued her and the attachment was there from day 1, but we are trying to find a good suitable home for her that matches her lifestyle with potential candidates.
