Story
We adopted Millie from BARCS in Baltimore in September 2024. Millie we believe is a some sort of working dog/bully mix. At almost a year old, she and is a very sweet dog who is very food motivated, enjoys cuddles, chasing her tail, and playing fetch. She is house and crate trained, does well with cats and older children but will thrive in a single dog home. Millie craves attention and needs an experienced handler who can meet her energy level. A fenced in yard and an active household would be preferred. She is very loved in her current home and are heartbroken to let her go but want what’s best for her.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 December 31, 2024, 1:12 pm

Story
He is a great companion who is very loyal which comes with his breed. I am looking for a home so he will have the time to be cared for and the resources to give him a happy life. He would thrive best in a yard or big open space to run. He is house broken and does not use a crate but had been crate trained. He has been around cats and co-existed with them. He is an energy level dog and has anxiety at times but is a great companion. He needs to a home that will give him the time and love he deserves.

Story
ABOUT ZIGGY ZAG Meet the king of sass, Ziggy Zag! This goofy guy is a 2-year-old mix breed with lots of personality. Ziggy came to HAP because he wasn't fond of sharing toys with the other dog in their home. Despite this, Ziggy loves to play with people and has been such a gentle giant! He quickly became a staff favorite for his endless sound effects and ability to hold a conversation. Ziggy loves to tell you his feelings, what can we say, he's an emotional boy. He's also a very smart guy who already knows basic commands, appears house trained, walks well on a leash, and is crate trained! His favorite activities include sunbathing, lounging on a cozy bed, and sprawling out on your legs. Needless to say, this guy appreciates a good nap! Ziggy would do best in a home environment as the only pet, though he is friendly to other pups out on walks! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
