Howdy! I'm Carl. I'm border collie mix somewhere around 3 to 4 years old and I'm looking for a forever home! I'm currently being fostered by a dog trainer which means everyone gets to learn so much about me and I get to learn more before I move on to my forever! I currently know some basic obedience ( but I would say I'm a master in sit and shake), I'm crate and potty trained and currently learning how to walk well on a leash. It still needs some work but I'm a very smart boy and learn quick! I do good with other dogs and cats but do have some issues with resource guarding when it comes to dogs I don't know very well. I get better once I know the dog better. I will need a home without kids since sometimes I think they're something I need to herd and sometimes they just make me anxious! My foster says I'm a medium-high energy boy so I’ll need someone that can keep up and give me the outlets I need to stay a good boy.

This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen county animal rescue facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. I'm Molly! At around 7 months old and 45 lbs, I'm a calm and timid girl with a heart full of love. I'm as sweet as they come, rarely bark, and get along best with other calm, quiet pups.
