Story
Jett is a sweet and well-behaved senior Border Collie mix, born on May 15, 2015, and weighing around 23 lbs. This little guy may be older, but he's full of love and loyalty. Jett took a bit of time to adjust to his foster home, but he has settled in beautifully. He occasionally lets you know when he needs some space, simply communicating his need for a little "me time." Jett is happiest when he's close to his person, and he absolutely adores one-on-one attention. He'll often start his night in bed with you, soaking up the comfort and closeness. While he does get along well with other dogs, Jett would love to be the center of your world and enjoys the peace and quiet of a relaxed environment. Jett is looking for a forever home where he can be loved and appreciated, with a family that respects his boundaries and cherishes his company. If you're looking for a calm, devoted companion who will stay by your side, Jett could be your perfect match. Dog Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS-A-1183

Story
Meet Theodore…or just Teddy for short. This adorable boy is about 9 weeks old and looks to be a Border Collie mix. Teddy and his sister were found abandoned in a rural area on New Year’s Eve. But, thanks to a whole team effort, his new year is now off to a great start in a foster home safe from the cold and snowy weather. Teddy currently weighs about 8 pounds, will soon be up to date on his puppy vaccinations and he is microchipped. As just a baby, Teddy is doing really great with working on his potty training with puppy pads and following his foster sibling out into the yard. Teddy loves to stay very close to his people, plays with his toys and he LOVES meal time. Teddy will require age-appropriate training as he grows. The Heart of America Humane Society is accepting applications for Teddy. Dog Adoption Application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Sully was rescued from euthanasia and came to us scared and unsure. Slowly, he is gaining confidence and enjoying his foster home, building a relationship with foster mom. Sully is initiating play and enjoys sun bathing with his foster brother. He is around 1 year and is likely mixed with border collie. He recently showed us he loves the water! We are so glad to be able to give him a second chance at life with the right person! If you are interested in a chow mix with good social skills, Sully is the boy for you!

Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).

We got Gracie in 2020, she's a sweet dog. Loves people and hanging out with them. She is house trained but needs some work on it still. She wants to be in people's laps all the time and spend time cuddling. She does not get along with cats and she does not like fireworks

Story
Do you want a loving dog that just aims to please? Look no further than Sonya. She listens well and knows basic commands. She is always trying to anticipate what you will do next and she really just wants to be the center of your world. Her only fault is she gets really nervous around children and sometimes men and will attempt to nip at them particularly if they are moving quickly and/or rough housing. Her favorite things include being wherever you are, sleeping on her pillow, and following you around wherever you go. She does well in cars (just give her a pillow and she settles right down). She will need a slow introduction to other dogs.
