Story
Lilo is a sweet girl looking for a home of her own. She might take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she does she`s super snuggly and silly. Lilo has lived with kids and other dogs and could likely do so again. She enjoys going for walks, playing outside and then having a nice snooze on a soft blanket. Lilo would likely do best in quiet neighborhood with a family who can give her time to settle in at her own pace. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

After earning his trust, he will smush up right next to you for cuddles. He enjoys belly rubs and going for walks to explore all that nature has to offer. He responds to his name instantly and also knows his basic commands like sit, down, paw, spin and even weave through your legs! He would love to have all your attention and be your only dog, or live with another calm/passive dog. He has even lived with cats in his previous home.He has had a lot of change in the past few months, and is looking for a permanent couch to call home. If you are patient with earning his trust and love, he will reward you with endless kisses and cuddles!Ducky is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Ducky or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170.
