Meet Danny a 1 – 2 year old Aussie Border Collie mix. Danny was a stray that was never claimed and he is currently living on a working farm. He’s getting along great with the other working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses and cats and is enjoying farm life. He is mild to moderate energy but because of his breed he will need to be kept occupied. He’s not the type of dog that would be happy just being a couch potato. He would need an owner who is active, hiking, walking or just something to keep him moving and active. Danny loves life and would make a great addition to an active family. This is Murray. We believe that he is an 8 week-old Collie/Shepherd mix but this is just a guess. We do not have information on the parents because they were surrendered to another shelter without that information. Murray came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on July 21st. He was brought to us from a shelter in rural Missouri that did not have space for him and his two brothers. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is a sweet guy who is a little shy but warms up quickly. We think he would do great in any type of household and would probably love a kid or dog (or both!) to play with. His adoption fee is $600. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. We also offer a $150 Puppy Package fee that includes heartworm prevention and all vaccine boosters due up to 5 months of age when the boosters are done at Jewell Animal Hospital.
