This precious boy lost the only home he knew when his family moved.  He is also battling heartworms but all of his bad luck has ended now.  Shadow is a 5 year old border collie/heeler mix (best guess) and is truly one of the sweetest pups we have met in a long time.  He is affectionate and obedient.  He goes around to greet all the other dogs each time he goes outside for potty break.  He always has a smile and a wagging tail!  We just know that his perfect family is out there - someone that will give him the loving home he deserves.  If that might be you (fingers crossed!) our applications are at www.carerescueok.org! ##2098780##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My turn, my turn! Larry and Carly told me to tell you, not to forget about them, if they aren't adopted, they'll be back (probably tomorrow, knowing those two). It's me, Kizmet. Let's back up a few weeks to where my adventure for a new family began. My old fam, if I can even call them that, ditched me near Foyil. If you don't know where that is, think Totem Poles. Anyway, I found a family with dogs so I hung around thinking, huh, they must have some food in there. They didn't feed me. I guess they called SWAT to come get me. A few days later, I went to a dog hotel. Then something amazing happened, I got to go to a foster home, someone that wanted me. I have other dogs to play with, food twice a day, water anytime I want it and TOYS to play with; life is good. SWAT says I can't stay here forever, they want me looking for a family to call my own. Here's the Kizmet scoop; I'm a Border Collie mix, 40 lbs-ish. I am a little over a year. I'm housetrained, not a fence jumper but I do like to see if I can find a way out, just for fun. I made it once and sat on my fosters front porch, waiting to get back in. I love water (I have a pool here), toys, other dogs and cats. I need a little room to run and a job to keep me busy, like herding the kids or other dogs. Put my name in the app below and I'll call you for a meet and greet. Perfect duo for perfect couple. Bonded pair. I'd like to see them go to a couple to ensure both dogs receive equal attention. It'll have to be a male/female or female/female couple simply due to the fact that Bunny's nervous w/humans & has only ever had a female owner. She''ll need her female human companion. They're high-energy breeds and must go to a home with a fenced backyard. Bonus points for active couples; these dogs would be PERFECTto go on hikes, road trips, play disc golf (Panda), or hang at the lake/river. They love being outdoors. Bunny: Husky/Great Pyrenees mix, female, 3.5 years. She's shy around strangers & needs her female human to cling to sometimes. Bunny LOVES all dogs. She's a hoot at the dog park & it’s definitely her favorite place on earth. Panda: Border Collie, male, 3 yrs. Very obedient, intelligent, trainable, Panda is by far the best dog I've ever had. He's a loyal companion & easy to care for. It will not take you long to fall in love with these dogs.
