Story
Are you ready to add a little excitement and a lot of love to your life? Look no further! Trivia, our charming Border Collie mix, is here to bring joy and fun to her forever home. Named after her playful beginnings in our Game Night Litter, Trivia has grown into a delightful companion with a personality as bright as her name. Originally adopted as a playful pup from our Game Night Litter, Trivia found a loving home. However, when her family introduced a new female dog, Trivia wasn't willing to accept her new canine sister even after several months. With kids in the household, her family decided it was best for everyone to bring Trivia back to us, where she could find a more suitable forever home. Trivia is a perfect balance of energy and relaxation. She's got a good energy level for playtime and outdoor adventures but knows when to wind down. By 9:30 PM, she's ready to call it a night and will even walk herself back to the bedroom! Fetch? She's got it covered... well, sort of. Trivia enjoys a little fetch but prefers the satisfaction of a good chew on her favorite Y-bones over squeaky toys. She's a low-maintenance playmate who’s happy with the simple pleasures in life. While she's not one to wade into water, Trivia will drink from a fountain like a pro. When it comes to car rides, she’s an absolute enthusiast! Trivia eagerly hops into the car (Honda Accord approved!) and loves looking out the window. Car washes? She finds them fascinating! Trivia enjoys the great outdoors, especially if it involves chasing squirrels in the yard or exploring new trails on a hike. She’s a curious and patient observer of nature, always the first one out the door for a new adventure. Despite her love for outdoor activities, Trivia also appreciates a quieter lifestyle. She’s equally content lounging around and soaking up the calm atmosphere of home. Trivia is looking for a home where she can be the only female dog. Trivia’s got one golden rule: she's the only diva allowed in the home! She’s not sharing her throne with other female dogs, but she’s always up for a bit of male dog admiration and human adoration. While she is not interested in sharing the tiara with other female dogs in her home, boy oh boy, does she lap up the attention from the fellas and humans alike. Imagine a canine Kardashian, strutting her stuff, ruling the roost with a wag and a wink. Trivia's all about that VIP treatment, charming every male dog in sight and winning over the hearts of her loyal subjects (aka you!). When it comes to socializing, Trivia is the life of the party! Here’s a sneak peek into her social diary: Trivia is a socialite with a playful side. She gets along famously with other dogs, from tiny pups to big buddies. She even does the teething play with younglings like seven-month-old Luke Skywalker. Talk about a doggone good time! While Trivia enjoys the company of fellow male canines, she's perfectly content being the solo star as well. However, she would probably prefer having a buddy around and is always the first one out the door for outdoor adventures, like her mission to the favorite tree! Trivia's no drama queen around cats. Her non-aggressive nature suggests she might be just fine sharing her space with a feline friend. Who knows, they might even become purr-fect pals! While there are no kids in Trivia's current environment, she’s already proven her charm with younger family members. When she met her foster's younger brother, Trivia was eager, friendly, and ready to make a new buddy. Now, her former family did report that she loves kids. Sure, she might get a tad excitable when she first meets them (who doesn't?), but once the initial excitement settles, she's a paw-some playmate and a bundle of joy. Think of her as the fun aunt who always has a joke and a wagging tail ready for adventure! Trivia is a social butterfly who loves making new friends, whether they walk on two legs or four. Her happy demeanor shines through when meeting new people, just like when she greeted her foster's brother with a wagging tail and a big smile. Considering apartment living for you and Trivia? Trivia's got apartment etiquette down to a T. She's a model houseguest, chilling out and keeping her paws off the pillows, clothes, and definitely not turning your shoes into chew toys. Your belongings are safe and sound with this well-mannered pup! No potty accidents here with this girl! Trivia's potty trained like a pro, so your home stays fresh and clean. Trivia's kennel trained, giving her a cozy retreat when needed. But honestly, with her great behavior, she would probably prefer lounging around the home! Trivia's not into chewing on household items, except for the occasional stick outside. Consider her a stick enthusiast rather than a furniture destroyer! Barking? Not Trivia's style. She's a serene sweetheart, making her a dream neighbor in the apartment or for close-by neighbors. With her impeccable manners and trustworthiness, you can confidently give Trivia free roam of the house. She's a responsible, well-behaved companion! Now that you've gotten a glimpse of Trivia's playful charm and loving nature, isn't it time to make her a permanent part of your life's adventure? With her impeccable manners, playful spirit, and heart full of love, Trivia is more than just a dog—she's your ultimate companion-in-crime, ready to explore the wonders of life with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let Trivia be your partner in laughter, your confidante in adventures, and your loyal friend through it all. Story
This precious boy lost the only home he knew when his family moved.  He is also battling heartworms but all of his bad luck has ended now.  Shadow is a 5 year old border collie/heeler mix (best guess) and is truly one of the sweetest pups we have met in a long time.  He is affectionate and obedient.  He goes around to greet all the other dogs each time he goes outside for potty break.  He always has a smile and a wagging tail!  We just know that his perfect family is out there - someone that will give him the loving home he deserves.  If that might be you (fingers crossed!) our applications are at www.carerescueok.org! ##2098780##

Story
Max is part of a bonded pair, bonded with his sister Aspen. Max and Aspen came from a situation where their owner not been taking care of them like they should have been. They were both in an outdoor kennel/run that had an absurd amount of fecal matter, that hadn't been cleaned for a while. Both of these sweet babies were seized due to animal cruelty. As far as we know, both dogs have spent their whole lives together. Max has been around other dogs, and gets along with everyone. Max does wonderful for baths as well. Max is a TOTAL goofball that has the cutest waddle when he walks. Speaking of! Max loves to go for walks and does wonderful.

Reed is happy, friendly guy who LOVES treats. He is sweet, smart and energetic. He knows sit and is working on other basic commands. He is dog-friendly. He thoroughly enjoys playing with other dogs in the yard. He has a great bark! He is nervous about seeing new people in the kennel. But is super friendly in the yard. Please ask to meet him in the yard or take him out on a doggie date. Reed is a cool pup! and he doesn't seem to care about fluffy butts (chickens).

Story
Hi, I'm Dutchess. I was adopted over four years ago and recently returned after getting into a scuffle with another dog at my house. My previous owner was not able to take me to the vet, so they brought me back to my friends at the Humane Society of Tulsa. I'm all fixed up now and hoping to find a forever home where I am the only pet. I don't really mind other dogs at the shelter, but I am excited about getting to be an only child. My favorite things are sunbathing in the grass and belly scratches. I would also really like a couch to snuggle up on with my people.

Story
Introducing Nixi, the delightfully adorable 1.5-year-old, 50lb Aussie mix who’s as charming as her name suggests! With a perpetually wagging nub tail, she’s a joy magnet, always eager to soak up every bit of attention she can get. Nixi’s journey brought her to us after a stint in the shelter, and now she’s ready to charm her way into your heart and home. This sweet girl is a bundle of joy, greeting everyone with a wag of her tail that could rival a doggy dance-off! Quick to trust and eager to please, Nixi is as smart as they come—she mastered her name in just three days (if only Wi-Fi passwords were that easy!). She’s incredibly observant of her surroundings and other dogs' behaviors, earning her the title of Sherlock Holmes of the canine world. Nixi is also a bit of a foodie—while she hasn’t ventured into many non-traditional dog foods yet, she’ll politely take treats from your hand, assess them with a discerning eye, and give you a look that says, “Are you serious?” Her manners are impeccable, and she takes direction like a pro—move over, Lassie! Nixi’s easygoing nature makes her a perfect fit for any home. If you’re seeking a smart, affectionate companion who brings laughter to your days, Nixi is the one for you! Nixi is a perfect blend of social butterfly and respectful neighbor when it comes to other dogs. She loves joining in on the fun but might throw in a theatrical growl if her personal space feels invaded. Whether flying solo or paired up with another pooch, she adapts effortlessly. While Nixi hasn’t met cats, her chicken-chasing skills hint that introductions might need careful consideration. Nixi is a natural with kids, transforming into a poised lady at the approach of two smaller children, sitting down for pets like she’s vying for Best Behaved Pup of the Year. She’s eager for playtime and won’t resist a good game of fetch—though she’s still mastering the art of bringing the toy back! Meeting new people brings out her quietly happy side, with no need for red carpet entrances, just a wagging tail and a friendly woof. When it comes to lifestyle, Nixi thrives on activity and exploration. She’s your go-to adventure buddy, always up for new places and experiences. While she appreciates relaxation, Nixi’s heart beats for the excitement of outings and activities—quiet moments are better saved for later! Independent and ready for the road, Nixi hops into the car on her own and makes a perfect passenger, content to enjoy the ride. Walking on a leash comes naturally to Nixi, though she’s open to a bit more practice to perfect her skills—especially with the heat of recent days slowing her down. Hiking is a definite yes for Nixi, who’s eager to hit the trails and explore nature with you—adventure awaits! Nixi’s energy level is medium to high, with a growing ability to relax as she settles into her new home. Indoor living is a new experience for her, but she’s adjusting beautifully. As for fetch, she’s got half the game down—fetching the toy enthusiastically, but the return trip is still a work in progress. Toys are becoming a favorite, especially when humans initiate the fun, revealing her playful side one squeaky toy at a time. Water isn’t her passion, showing little interest in playing and feeling a bit wary around hoses during outdoor baths—dry land suits her just fine! Would Nixi thrive in an apartment? Absolutely! Her quiet demeanor and lack of barking make her an ideal neighbor. Potty training? Mastered. Kennel training? New territory, but she’s a quick study. Plus, Nixi’s respect for household items ensures your belongings remain safe. And that’s Nixi in a tail-wagging nutshell! With her charm, smarts, and heart full of adventure, she’s more than ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home. If you’re looking for a companion who’s as delightful as she is adorable, Nixi is your girl! Don’t miss out on the chance to make her a part of your family—she’s waiting to fill your days with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. Come meet Nixi and see for yourself why she’s the perfect match for your heart and home! 📍 Pickup Location: Sand Springs, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3

Story
Hey there, world! I'm Beacon, the tiny, 7-week-old Aussie mix with a whole lot of charm packed into just 5 pounds of fur and fun. 🐾 At just 7 weeks old, I’ve already mastered the art of being the happiest little Velcro dog you’ll ever meet. I might be small, but my enthusiasm for people is HUGE! I’ve got a knack for following humans around because, let’s be honest, you’re the best thing since squeaky toys. I wasn’t raised around siblings, so I’m all about people—think of me as your future Velcro pup. While I might not have grown up with siblings, I’m definitely making up for it with my endless love for humans. Smart? You bet! Cute? That’s an understatement. If you adopt me, I’ll show you just how fantastic life can be with a little Beacon by your side! 🌟 Now, are you curious how a puppy as adorable and sweet as me ended up in rescue? Well here’s the scoop: I found myself at the shelter, and while it wasn’t the best start, it led me here and hopefully now to YOU! I’m not sure how I ended up at the shelter, but what I do know is that being there made me even more determined to find a family who’ll appreciate my boundless joy and affection. I’m ready to make up for lost time by being the most loving, devoted little buddy you could ever ask for. Let me tell you a secret: kids are probably my favorite thing in the whole world! They’re just so much fun—so many giggles, games, and hugs. While I’m all about the love and games, it’d be awesome if the kids could be a bit “puppy-savvy.” It’s important for them to know that my eagerness to play might come with a bit of extra enthusiasm and nibbles. I’m not trying to be naughty; it’s just how I’m learning about the world. So, if you’ve got kids, they’ll(and you mama bear) need to be patient with me as I learn how to be the perfect buddy. But trust me, the cuddles and tail wags are totally worth it! I ’m all about meeting new people and animals—if there’s a party, you can bet I’m there, wagging my tail and soaking up the attention. Whether you’re new or a familiar face, I’ll greet you with my full puppy charm and enthusiasm. I can’t imagine being more social if I tried—everyone’s a friend in my book! 🌟🐶 Other dogs? Oh, I’m totally into them! I’ve got this knack for knowing which ones are up for a romp and which ones prefer a bit of space. When I met a dog my size, I was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement! We had the best play session ever! Cats? Oh, I’m fascinated! I walked right up to our resident feline with all the curiosity of a tiny explorer, and when she jumped onto the counter, I just stood there, wide-eyed and in awe. It’s like she’s a mysterious, majestic creature from another world! I’m not sure what all the fuss is about that the other dogs make about cats, but I’m definitely eager to make friends with them. I'm a pro at playing hard and napping even harder! I’ve got enough pep to turn any activity into a marathon event, but once the playtime’s over, I crash like a pro. Without another puppy around to help me burn off steam, I might seem like a whirlwind of energy, so unless you plan on taking me with you everywhere, hiking, and keeping me well-stimulated than it would probably be best for me to have another doggie playmate. Because without one, we are going to get you moving...whether you want to or not! ;) Active lifestyle? Count me in! I’ve got a ton of energy and enthusiasm to share. I spent my first seven weeks in a shelter, so I’m totally cool with crate time being my chill zone. But when it’s cuddle time on the couch, well, that’s just another excuse for a play session in my book! I’m ready to bring some zest and fun to a home where we can be on the go or snuggled up, whichever suits your fancy! 🐾🏃‍♂️💤 Fetch? Well, I’m still perfecting my “rolling ball” follow-through! I might not be a pro just yet, but I’m eager to learn. And who knows, one day I may just go from chasing rolling balls to catching them in the air like a champ. Just don’t be surprised if I occasionally get distracted by something really exciting, like a leaf or my own tail! 🐾🎾😄 Potty trained? Oh, I’m practically a bathroom pro..when it comes to the puppy doo doo's at least! When it comes to poops, I’m all set—no accidents here, just a tidy little pup with a can-do attitude. I’m learning the ropes and getting better every day when it comes to leave surprise puddles for my foster mom (oopsie), but for now, accidents are just part of my adorable, slightly messy charm! 🐾🚽🎨I am familiar with being kenneled. It is probably important to mention that I have a VIP kennel. Mine is more playpen style and its AWESOME! I can roam around a bit, play with my toys, and just hang out in my own little area. Now, I know you are waiting for me to tell you that I am not a chewer, but no can do senorita. I am just a pup after all and while I prefer my toys, I cannot promise that those mouth-watering TV remotes and smelly shoes won't find their way into my toy pile if they are left up for grabs. ;) Choose me as your forever companion, and let's paint our days with laughter and adventures. Together, we'll create a story filled with paw prints of happiness and love. Ready to make me a part of your pack? Let's wag our tails into a bright and wag-tastic future! Catch you on the sunny side! 🐶 Beacon 📍 Pickup Location: Broken Arrow, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3
