You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beautiful, gentle and sweet border collie mix young adult.  Meet Zoe, a beautiful and very sweet young border collie/spaniel mix that was found abandoned along with her brother, Ziggy, at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Ziggy and Zoe had obviously belonged to someone, they were very scared but wanted badly to connect with humans. Several people in the  neighborhood pitched in and made sure these 2 had food and water and shade until they could be rescued. Although very scared at first and a bit shy, Zoe soon realized she loves humans and is now very friendly and affectionate with humans. She loves to go on walks, is good on leash, housebroken and will jump in your lap to be petted. She is not reactive at all towards other dogs on her walks, and has realized how much she wants to be someone's forever dog. She's a gentle girl who loves to get attention, and also very athletic and would excel at agility. To meet Zoe in person, visit this link to submit an application! Story
Looking for a dog that will surely keep you on your toes? Lydia is your gal. If you're not paying enough attention you would never realize she was missing a leg! This mature girl was set to be euthanized at another shelter due to a persistent leg injury. The leg had to be amputated but Lydia doesn't seem to realize anything is missing. She is a major fetch enthusiast and often outruns all other dogs to get the ball.  Lydia would love a property that she can protect. She tends to build strong and incredibly loyal bonds to those she trusts and would do anything for her people. She is currently paired with our long-term deaf resident Rodeo. These two have been attached at the hip since the day they met, almost as if they understand each other's struggles. Staff often sees Lydia nudging Rodeo in order to wake him up to play! If this intelligent and active girl sounds like the perfect fit for your lifestyle, call the Ranch to meet her today! Read more about Miss Lydia here: https://rrdog.org/two-lonely-special-needs-dogs-pair-up-and-become-best-pals-ever/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       August 18, 2024, 7:34 pm

Story
Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.
