Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Pawla, the 2-year-old Border Collie with all the charm and a dash of mischief! This lovable goofball was a stray who never got claimed, but she’s living her best life in foster care now, just waiting to meet her forever family. Pawla is the epitome of sweet—no aggression, no resource guarding, and she won’t jump on you (we're looking at you, every dog who does that!). She’s crate-trained, knows sit, shake, stay, and even how to speak (but don’t worry, she’s not giving you a TED talk just yet). She’s a cuddle queen, loves being in bed or on your lap, and will take treats like a lady. But, of course, Pawla’s got a few quirks! She’s still working on house training (but she’s a fast learner, promise), and she's a super chewer—think of her as your personal toy tester. Pawla IS NOT GOOD with cats.   As for her recall... let’s just say if she’s busy doing something, she’s in the zone and you might as well be invisible. Also, she’s a little paw-happy when it comes to attention and might paw at your face or lick you like she’s auditioning for a role in 'Dog Gone Wild.' Pawla isn’t exactly a toddler’s best friend (she might accidentally knock them over with love), but if you’re looking for a high-energy, cuddle-loving, quirky dog who’ll never leave your lap empty, she’s the one!    Pawla is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Miracle is the definition of strength, love, and second chances. Despite enduring unimaginable hardship, this sweet and spunky boy holds no grudges—he simply wants to love and be loved. Found in rural Arkansas with a shattered jaw after being shot, Miracle went without food or water for days before a Good Samaritan saved him. He underwent three surgeries to repair his injuries, and while his jaw remains slightly misaligned, it only adds to his charm. His spirit, however, was never broken. Miracle is a happy, playful, and incredibly affectionate pup. He is eager to please, food-motivated, and easy to train. His favorite place is by his people’s side—whether he’s enjoying an energetic play session or curling up for a well-deserved nap. He is house-trained, heartworm negative, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations. We do not know his breed. Likely a mix of several breeds.  Miracle is loyal, attentive, and always comes when called. He does well with people and loves companionship, though he’s not a fan of cats or chickens. This brave boy has been through so much, and now he’s ready for the happy ending he deserves. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with an incredible heart, Miracle is waiting for you. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello there!  My name is Helene, and I'm so thrilled you stopped by to read about me. I'm sure you couldn't help but notice my stunning looks and sweet face. I was born on the 4th of July in 2024, but unlike the fireworks, I’m all about calm and gentle vibes. I have a heart full of love and a super sweet demeanor, making me the perfect companion for anyone looking for an adoring family dog. I'm quite smart, and my rescuers think I’ll grow to be around 30 pounds—just the right size for cozy cuddles and fun adventures.   As a border collie mix, I am active and would love someone who can commit to giving me regular exercise and playtime. I’m still a pup, learning and exploring the world, and I promise to be your best student. Together, we can go on walks, have exciting adventures, and make beautiful memories—just you and me.    If you’re ready to add a loving, loyal friend to your life, look no further! I’m here, eager to find my forever home. Wanna give me a chance to be your very own furry family member?  When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. We look at each and every application that comes into our rescue in attempts to make the perfect match! This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 9, 2025, 1:57 pm

Story
Hi, I'm Rey! I've got an abundance of puppy energy and an even bigger heart. My days are filled with playing with my favorite squeaky toys, and I'm always ready for a good game of fetch. When I'm not busy being a playful pup, I love nothing more than curling up for a good cuddle. I'm friendly with everyone I meet and I'm known around here for my sweet nature. I'm learning new things every day and I'm eager to learn more with a family of my own. Adopting me means endless love, laughter, and a loyal friend for life.
