Story
Meet Tulip, a sweet and serene senior dog with a heart full of love and a calm disposition. Recently, Tulip’s world shifted when her beloved owner passed away, and she found herself adjusting to a new chapter at a peaceful southern farm. Surrounded by other dogs, Tulip has shown her gentle nature, getting along well with everyone she meets. At her core, Tulip is looking for a quiet, tranquil life—somewhere she can settle in and enjoy her golden years in comfort. She dreams of a cozy bed, a caring owner, and a daily stroll through the neighborhood to stretch her legs. Tulip’s easy-going nature makes her a wonderful companion, and she’s happy to go with the flow, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. This low-energy girl is both crate-trained and housetrained, making her a fantastic addition to any home looking for a laid-back companion. Tulip’s quiet, loving presence is the perfect fit for someone who wants a peaceful life alongside a loyal and gentle friend.Important Note: Tulip feels most comfortable around women, as men tend to make her uneasy. She would thrive in a home with a female owner who can provide her with the security and love she needs.By adopting Tulip, you’re giving a cherished senior a second chance at a happy life—offering her comfort, security, and love in her golden years. If you’re ready to welcome this sweet soul into your home, Tulip is ready to show you just how much love a senior dog can give.Name: TulipBreed: Border Collie/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 11 years  (estimated)Weight: 60Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: 12 and older Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $250.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Leo is a good boy. Through no fault of his own, he finds himself stuck in the suburbs with two toddlers and not getting the time and attention that he needs and once had. He had been trained off leash in the past, but now settles for neighborhood walks and hanging out on his line in the back yard. His lifestyle has changed drastically the last two years and his some of his neurotic canine features have been exacerbated along the way. He’s very anxious, doesn’t get along with some dogs, but has some regular canine pals. He has a hard time with the surrounding wild life…including the bunnies and cats the he sees through his window…he has a hard time controlling his ‘prey drive’ when watching the bunnies through the window, which can make things a little tenuous with his two toddler roommates. He loves to cuddle all the time, he loves to run in the open and he loves squeaky toys!

Meet the Alaska pups! There are four beautiful girls - Juneau, Sitka, Denali, Wasilla and two handsome boys – Fairbanks and Valdez. Their mom is a Border Collie mix and we hear their dad is an AKC registered Lab. Sitka, a delightful puppy with a heart full of joy. Her personality is as vibrant as a summer day, filled with playful antics and goofy charm that will surely keep you entertained. She has an energetic spirit that's infectious, making every moment with her a delightful adventure. Sitka's sweet nature and friendly demeanor make her a wonderful companion. She is gentle, treating everyone she meets with pure love and kindness. Sitka has a special fondness for squeaky toys, her eyes light up at the mere sight of them, making playtime an absolute delight. Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Adopting Sitka would mean inviting a bundle of joy into your life. Her love and energy will fill your home with laughter and happiness. She's waiting for a family who will cherish her playful spirit and reciprocate her unconditional love. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this.
