Story
Sage & Willow are currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Sage & Willow are a beautiful pair of 6-year-old Border Collie sisters who have been together since birth. After losing their owner, they are looking for a loving home where they can stay together forever. These well-mannered girls are house-trained, enjoy going for daily walks, and would love a fenced-in yard to chase squirrels. They have a strong prey drive, so no cats for these two! They love cuddles, pets, and affection. Sage & Willow would do well in a home with kids 10+ and are ready to bring double the love and companionship to their new family. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
Meet Tulip, a sweet and serene senior dog with a heart full of love and a calm and cheerful disposition. Recently, Tulip’s world shifted when her beloved owner passed away, and she found herself adjusting to a new chapter at a peaceful southern farm. Surrounded by other dogs, Tulip has shown her gentle nature, getting along well with everyone she meets. At her core, Tulip is looking for a quiet, tranquil life—somewhere she can settle in and enjoy her golden years in comfort. She dreams of a cozy bed, a caring owner, and a daily stroll through the neighborhood to stretch her legs. Tulip absolutely LOVES her walks. She is a champ on the leash! Tulip’s easy-going nature makes her a wonderful companion, and she’s happy to go with the flow, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. This lower-energy girl is both crate-trained and housetrained, making her a fantastic addition to any home looking for a laid-back companion. Tulip’s quiet, loving presence is the perfect fit for someone who wants a peaceful life alongside a loyal and gentle friend.Important Note: Tulip feels most comfortable around women, as men tend to make her uneasy. She would thrive in a home with a female owner who can provide her with the security and love she needs.By adopting Tulip, you’re giving a cherished senior a second chance at a happy life—offering her comfort, security, and love in her golden years. If you’re ready to welcome this sweet soul into your home, Tulip is ready to show you just how much love a senior dog can give.Look at this sweet girl just lovin’ life:https://youtu.be/JGq-oSc8n_0?si=R35lSxqznlnOffexhttps://youtu.be/_qVkf2xBTK0?si=TI5yTj65rMX1_JUThttps://youtu.be/UqTBV2se_rU?si=l_ZUrW_TTIWS-K9dhttps://youtu.be/-rvdQC9khAg?si=o7hDhCo8bB84GP4kName: TulipBreed: Border Collie/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 11 years  (estimated)Weight: 60Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: 12 and older Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $250.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Leo is a good boy. Through no fault of his own, he finds himself stuck in the suburbs with two toddlers and not getting the time and attention that he needs and once had. He had been trained off leash in the past, but now settles for neighborhood walks and hanging out on his line in the back yard. His lifestyle has changed drastically the last two years and his some of his neurotic canine features have been exacerbated along the way. He’s very anxious, doesn’t get along with some dogs, but has some regular canine pals. He has a hard time with the surrounding wild life…including the bunnies and cats the he sees through his window…he has a hard time controlling his ‘prey drive’ when watching the bunnies through the window, which can make things a little tenuous with his two toddler roommates. He loves to cuddle all the time, he loves to run in the open and he loves squeaky toys!

Story
Hello. Our names are Nadia (F), Kinsey (F), Nathan (M), and Skeeter (F). Our rescuer was told our mom was a Belgian Malinois and dad was a Border Collie. We were born on July 8, 2023. We were turned over to the rescue lady when we were babies. There were eight of us. Not long after arriving, we started to get sick. We four were and are the healthiest. When we were out playing in the yard, she often asked us where the babies went, who was sweet and shy. Who switched them out of your energizer bunnies, then laughed as we ran around like crazy kids? We are brilliant, treat motivated (easy to train), sulk when scolded, crate trained, shy at first but warm up quickly, not house or leash trained (quick learners), like cats, submissive to other dogs, and have never been around children. Our foster mom has commented how wonderful we would be on an agility course.  I want to go hiking, go to the beach, run around on snow deeper than I am tall, curl up with you in front of the fireplace, and watch a movie. I have only heard my foster mom talking about most of this stuff. If you have patience and teach me, I will love doing whatever you do. Please request an application to begin the adoption process at alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Story
Sadie Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! This 1-year-old heeler, lab, pit mix is a super friendly, fun-loving pup who adores other dogs and even gets along with cats—though she may try to play with them! She’s an adventure buddy who loves car rides and has the best pointy ears and expressive tan eyebrows. Sadie is food assertive, so a home without small kids is best. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion, Sadie is your girl! **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic.
