Story
Possum is smart & enthusiastic. Look how happy he is and well adjusted! His foster is doing a wonderful job of bringing his sweet personality out. We’re thinking maybe an agility dog in the making. Who knows, a hidden celebrity!!! He knows come, and quickly learned some agility stations. He went over a jump and a round jump with ease, and even went through a tunnel with no fear. He’s an agile boy, eager to please. He’s about 18 months old, still in the puppy stage, fully vetted, neutered and heart worm negative. He is a smaller dog, 32 lbs of devotion and new zest for life. His time at the shelter really had him scared but he’s back to his good ole self as you can see. He loves his 2 resident siblings, smaller male and female. Story
Jewel was found out in Dublin. She had recently weaned puppies, but none were found out with her. She is an extremely friendly girl that does not like being left out by herself and we have learned she will climb chain link fences to go to wherever the people are. She can be a little hesitant to get into crates and does need a little guidance but does well once she gets into one. She walks well on a leash, but will pull to go after any squirrels she may encounter. Jewel can be very energetic and does need some time to run or play to help get that energy out. Her previous foster stated she is house trained, however when she was left alone she would chew up shoes and cords. She loves attention and will lean against the door of crates and kennels to get any. She does not like getting groomed or bathed. She has done well with other dogs in her foster. She will resource guard any food or food items when any other dogs is around. She would need to be fed in a separate room if adopted in a house with other dogs. A meet and greet is always highly recommended with any current household dogs. Jewel has received all her vaccinations and de-wormer. She is microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative and on prevention. ECHS does not reserve adoptable animals for the public. Adoptions are first come first serve the day of availability. Please note that availability is subject to change at any point in time per ECHS discretion

Story
Meet Merle Haggard! Calling all Single ladies!!!Who is looking for a loyal male companion to love them unconditionally? Who needs a human man when Merle will give you all the attention, snuggles, take you for long walks in the park, hold your hand and give you a smooch. He is a lower energy dog and likes to chill at home with his lady, he loves to lay under his foster moms desk while she works. He is a 2 year old 29 lbs terrier/border collie mix who is crate trained and won't leave his socks all over the house, won't pee or poop in your house or leave the toilet seat up, he likes other dogs but would be fine to be an only dog also, he is a fan of monogamy . He loves going for walks and gives the occasional bark at the squirrels he sees, he is only trying to protect his lady!! His whispy coat looks like a majestic unicorn blowing in the wind when he gallops in his foster moms backyard. He is timid of strangers and needs time to adjust to new people coming into the house, he is not aggressive at all but is a cautious little guy. Who can blame him when he was abandoned on a property with a bunch of other furry friends left to fend for himself. He would gladly take the place of a human man in his future Misses' life, applications wanted. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. Story
Aggie is an approximately 10 year old heeler who is a puppy in disguise! We love this old man so much!! He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He seems to be house broken and uses a doggie door. He is overweight with a fatty lipoma on his belly that is not causing any issues. We want him to go to someone who won’t overfeed him so he can get healthier. He was dumped in a Houston park and we want him to have a great retirement home!! He needs a secure fence for his safety. Adoptable within one hour of Granbury, Tx. Adoption fee is $100. Applications can be found at www.scftx.org/adopt
