Story
Meet Owen, a sweet and energetic Border Collie mix who’s ready to find an active and loving home! Owen has a lot of energy to burn and will thrive with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation—he’s the perfect companion for someone who enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, and keeping their dog’s brain busy with fun training sessions. Though Owen can be a bit shy when meeting new people, once he feels comfortable, his sweet and affectionate nature shines through. He’s good with other dogs, making him a great fit for a multi-dog household or a home where he can make new furry friends. If you're looking for a dog that will keep you active and engaged, and you're ready to provide plenty of love, structure, and brain-teasing fun, Owen could be your perfect match. He can’t wait to find his forever home and start his next adventure with you! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lily is a beauty! This little lady had pups last summer at which point we found out she was heartworm positive. Lily has completed her heartworm treatment and is ready for a new home. She is scheduled to be spayed at Adam's Marquette Vet. Lily has lots of energy, she would be a great agility dog or a friend to go on long walks with. She is house trained, kennel trained and just a very good girl. Story
I am currently available from a foster home. If you are interested in seeing me, please call the shelter first to set up a time to meet me.*My adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a member of the community! Now all I need is you!*Intake Reason: Stray-Weight: 40 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Does well in `calm` playgroups at WCHS ·Kids: UnknownFun Facts About Me:•I am a friendly, playful and outgoing gal who likes to stay active•I enjoy going for walks and do very well but can get a little reactive when I see other dogs and I am on a leash because I feel restricted•When I am able to move about freely, I am cool about hanging around calm and polite canines•My ancestors were bred to care for flocks without much guidance and I apparently inherited a wee bit of an independent streak from them•I am a smart cookie who likes to keep my brain busy so I think I would like to participate in training with you; some say I should practice some manners because I jump up on people•I know the cues for ‘sit’ and ‘down’ and accept rewards gently if you remind me to be ‘easy’#1
