Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet Rain, a 15-month-old medium-sized mixed breed sweetheart rescued from Puerto Rico. Rain has been through a lot in her short life, but you’d never know it. She has the tenacity, spirit, and spunk of a happy girl. She is sweet, intelligent, and knows basic commands. She would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard where she can run, play, and explore. Good with other dogs? Yes. Good with cats? Unknown. Quirks or fears? Afraid of loud sounds and traffic. Needs positive reinforcement, love, and patience. Housetrained? Yes. Crate-trained? Yes, she has been sleeping in a crate at night. Health problems? No known health issues. Activity level? High. She likes to play nip. Plays with toys? Yes, but do not give her cheap toys, toys that can break, or chews that she can break and swallow. Car travel? Very good in the car and no car sickness. And check out her heart-shaped nose and oh-so-adorable RCA dog appearance.     .All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Adoption Pending..... Meet CASHapp Cashapp, aka Cash, is the smaller of two brothers rescued with their mom, Zelle, from the streets of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. Weighing in at 18 pounds, this super scruffilicious pup likely inherited his terrier traits from his dad, giving him a charmingly scruffy appearance. ( PayPal is his bigger but not older brother.) Cashapp has a very submissive side and will go belly up immediately, showing his gentle nature. Once he warms up to you, he becomes very social and loving. Play is Cashapp’s favorite activity, and he can run like the wind and play for hours, showcasing his energetic and joyful spirit. Cashapp is healthy and thriving, thanks to the care and love he received after being rescued. Cashapp would thrive in a home that can match his playful energy and provide lots of love and attention. His submissive and loving nature makes him a great fit for families, especially those with children or other pets. Come meet Cashapp and experience the joy and love this scruffy little pup can bring to your home! The Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue adoption donation is $595.00. This includes: spay/neuter (at our vet), vaccines (dhpp, bordetella, rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test and our dogs are on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm. Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state. (This is typically around $75.00) To apply to adopt one of our dogs fill out our adoption application at this link: https://form.jotform.com/ChasingSunshine/Chasing-Sunshine-Adoption-App For questions email: chasingsunshinedogrescue@gmail.com Check out our website at www.chasingsunshinedogrescue.org We are also on Facebook, TikTok & Instagram Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue Inc. is recognized as a section 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Story
**Meet Lorax: Your Loyal and Loving Companion** Meet Lorax (also known as Eleanor), a charming seven-year-old border terrier mix weighing in at a petite 12 lbs. Lorax is seeking a calm, low-traffic household where she can be the star of the show. She thrives best in an environment without children, a fenced yard and as the only pet, although she does get along well with cats. Lorax has made impressive strides in her behavior thanks to a dedicated board and train program. She still needs some work on leash manners and respecting boundaries, so an experienced owner who can continue her training is essential. To support her transition, we offer free training to her adopter, ensuring Lorax continues to progress and feel secure in her new home. If you're ready to welcome a sweet, smart, and special dog into your life, Lorax is eagerly waiting to meet you.

Story
Nova Lynn is a nine-week-old puppy born about June 1st and this little worry faced munchkin appeared, following a flood in Tennessee near the Cumberland Plateau. Weighing just 10 pounds, Nova Lynn loves to play, snuggle, and charm her way into making new friends. This adorable black and white Princess, is currently working on the essential behaviors that will make her the ideal companion for her future family. The Foster family's adult dog is making sure that she teaches Nova Lynn all that she knows. She is with a great canine teacher. Crate training is underway as well as potty training, and learning commands such as 'come' and 'sit,' .  All of the right things are in the puppy training curriculum, along with other important manners expected of an intelligent puppy. Anticipated to reach approximately 35 pounds when fully grown, We think that this girl is a Border Terrier mix du to her  adorable black and white spots and a scruffy coat around her face and ears. Nova Lynn is a sociable puppy who enjoys the company of both humans and other dogs, displaying no signs of fear or skittishness. This strong, inquisitive, and affectionate puppy is in search of a loving family to call her own and will be ready for adoption at the beginning of September. If you are interested in this darling little girl puppy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com right away mm PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 18, 2024, 12:50 pm
