Story
Ruby Jean is around 18 months old, weighs 48 lbs, and her foster mom said she is absolutely bomb proof! This adorable low rider is great with other dogs, loves kids, is potty & crate trained, and sits on command. She is smart, affectionate, and meets new people with enthusiasm and good manners. Ruby is the kind of dog that will be fun for walks around the neighborhood, heading up to your local dog-friendly patio, or watching the kids' sports practices. If you think Ruby Jean might be a good fit for your household, we'd love to hear from you! Ruby Jean is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Kickstand is about 10 weeks old and ready for a home to call his very own! This little smooshy face cutie will be a fun addition to any loving home! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Meet Atticus, a super sweet 3 year old neutered male terrier mix, weighing about 40 lbs! He is a friendly love bug who is good with other dogs, peiple, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. From Atticus's current foster: "Meet Atticus! This guy is the life of the party! He rubs up on my legs like a kitty cat and and snorts like a piggy. He is always so happy to see me and everyone else and loves to meet new people and dogs. He goes into his crate for treats and settles down after a couple minutes. He is potty trained and super great on a leash. He does have a high prey drive as most Terriers do so he has pulled when he sees birds. He loves to play and gets in yours or your other dog's face to do so. He can be a bit mouthy with my arm when he wants to play but has not broken skin and is easily redirected with a toy. He is very respectful when it comes to other dogs getting treats and keeps his distance and watches patiently until it is his turn. When other dogs are being aggressive he backs off and keeps the peace or tries to play instead. He loves vigorous rubs and butt scratches. He seems to be well cared for and has an excellent coat, is lean and muscular and his teeth are pearly white. He likes to climb and jump and explore. He discovered the human beds tonight and I think he really wants to sleep in one but we have him sleeping in his crate. When I eat he is right there breathing on my leg to let me know he is there waiting for a bite in case I change my mind lol. He likes to watch me as I do things around the house. He likes watching the world outside the window. He loves sniffing all the things. He has trouble breathing from excitement when I greet him in the morning and also if we walk too fast (due to being bracephelactic). He comes when I call him. He eats fast and makes a huge mess of water when he drinks but that's ok lol. He is overall really fun and quirky and loving." Atticus is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. A 100% good doggo! Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2332671##

Story
Mahogany - 6-12 months old - Female Mahogany came to WTFarm with 7 other Boston Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier Mixes when their human suddenly passed away. The “M Ladies” were all a little scared at first, but they have warmed up nicely and desperately want to be loved and give love. They will do well in a home where they are allowed to decompress from the changes, and then encouraged to flourish. They will be a fun addition to a home.
