Story
Mixer-Boston Terrier/Terrier male, ~ 1 yr. (July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Mixer came to Rescue from a high kill big city shelter. He was on the list to lose his life to euthanasia the next day. This was happening only because the shelter is way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Mixer went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. He's about 30#, full of intelligence and life. He plays well with the other foster dogs, loves to babysit the litter of foster puppies; they are about 10 weeks old. He loves to play fetch and he loves the water. Best of all, he loves people and wants to interact with his humans. Mixer's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com . Include your location and a phone number for future communication. The first step in our process is to submit an application for review. Once approved, we will contact you to arrange a meeting at our next Meet and Greet event. Our pets are fostered in private homes and will be brought to Frederick, MD to meet approved adopters. PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE.

Story
Bandit, came to us along with Buddy and Hershey because their owner had stage 4 lung cancer and could no longer care for them. She's super scared and sweet and you just want to help her. The man kept these dogs in crates for seven years. Everything is over stimulation for her. Overall she’s doing very well considering her entire world has been erased and there's so much around new to get used to. She is very very sweet. I believe she’s half bull dog—she has the bull dog snort. She weighs 38 lbs. She lived with other dogs in her life ---both males and females and she lived another male and a cat in her foster home. At first she wasn’t overly friendly with the dogs here but has adjusted after a slow introduction. Bandit is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, and microchipped. She is also housetrained. She is also missing one eye, which causes her no problem. If interested in Bandit contact applications@boxertransfer.org

Story
Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we!  This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help!  Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound,  9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home.  Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie.  This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls.  HORRORS!!!!!   OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG.  This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie?  She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her.  Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her.   We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her.  I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on  occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there.  She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 20, 2024, 1:48 pm

Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size.  He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus. She is such a sweet dog! She gets alittle protective over her food sometimes and nail trying to cut her names. Once she trust you, she will be ok. She loves to cuddle, but she is antsy.

Story
Charlotte Good with dogs, cats, kids. Great in kennel. Cautious in beginning with men but once comfortable, very loving. She is still very much getting comfortable with surroundings and will NOT walk on leash so will need a yard while she gets trained. She needs an adopter with patience as she is easily spooked. Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has a strong and very sweet spirit and will make someone's family complete. She LOVES kids and is good with other dogs. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. We have no idea what kind of situation she came from other than neglectful, so lets find her the BEST home!! Only the best need apply :) ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! HER LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
