Story
Oscar is heading to Maryland from Mexico (via Texas) and we're sure he's thrilled to finally be an inside dog. He's arriving 7/28 will not be available for adoption till his two week decompression is done. He's approximately 2 years old, neutered and crate trained. His TX foster reports he will alert when he needs to go out to take care of business. Oscar doesn't bother or pay attention to the cats in the foster home. He's calm and doesn't bark. He loves running around in the yard, loves his toys and his walks. He will only be adopted to a household that already has a friendly and tolerant dog; he loves to play. As always, we never promote our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly. Interested in adopting Oscar? Click this link to get started: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd (Just make sure to read the first page in its entirety!) Adoption area: We prioritize homes within 45 miles of Silver Spring, MD. However, fantastic matches in PA, NJ, NY, and WV will be considered!

Story
My friend gave me his dog to watch. Moved and never came back for him. I’m not sure about his shots or anything. But I do know that he’s a purebred. I work too much too train him fully or do anything with him much but when I am home hes loving, loyal and likes to be around his caregiver. Plays nicely with my cat too. He’s very vocal when he wants something. I wish I could keep him. But I want to find a happy loving home that needs him.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Grady is a pug/boston terrier/boxer, is 5yo, weighs 32lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Grady knows 'sit' and 'off'; he is kept in a gated area with his bed during the day; he is kept in a gated area with his bed and blankets at night; he has a hard time sitting still during car rides.  Grady is fed Purina Pro Plan Complete Essentials Shredded Blend Turkey and Rice Formula High Protein Dry Dog Food.  Grady's guardian adds:  "He loves to sit on the couch with you and snuggle.  He is not a dominant dog.  He has always been with another dog to play with, but we feel he would also be ok as a single dog.  Does well with puppy interaction." Grady's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:   "Grady is a bit of an anxious guy.  He has a hard time relaxing. When it is just my husband, he will be calm and relaxed.   When I come home Grady paces, whines and can’t relax.   His anxiety and my husbands increasing anxiety over the years no longer are compatible.   We have tried training and currently have him on Reconcile for anxiety."   Grady's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  Grady's guardian administers 3 medications for various ailments; for anxiety, Reconcile; for itchy skin, Apoquel; for seasonal allergies, Zyrtec." Grady's guardian states the following regarding children:  Grady lives with children (ages 7, 9, and 10), so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating:  "Initially, he barks and is very excited.  Over time he calms down and tries to sit beside/wants to be petted". Grady's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Grady lives with a dog, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "Grady is reactive to other dogs.  He will bark during walks". Grady's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Grady doesn't live with nor otherwise has interacted with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Grady's guardian describes him as: Playful Likes to be touched Always at your side Indoor dog Nervous House-Trained Crate-Trained Separation anxiety Grady's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Grady needs a home with a yard where he can run and play fetch—he’s amazing at it!  Also would be great for someone who is active that would take him for walks.  He would need someone that allows couch cuddling.  Would not be a good fit for someone with anxiety.  Needs to be with someone that can be patient with his barking at the Amazon delivery man."
