Welcome Pumpkin to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year old Boston Terrier/Lab or Cattle Dog is our best estimate. She has a rounded head with an upturned nose which has helped us come to this breed mix. She knows sit and will sit nicely for a treat. She likes treats and takes them nicely out of your hand. She likes toys and will give up her toy easily. She is good on leash even though she does pull some. She is very happy and really likes attention. She is good with the dogs that she has met at the shelter. She is also good in her kennel. She is an adorable dog and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is vaccinated, spayed, healthy and ready for her forever home. She would be a great family companion and would be great with a moderately active family. She is active but will calm down and be relaxed after a small amount of activity. She in our opinion a perfect dog. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She moderately sheds and weighs about 40 pounds. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. I weigh about 20 pounds and am looking for my forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself! I'm a sweet and mostly quiet girl who loves to cuddle. I'm happiest when I'm snuggled up with my humans, giving kisses, or napping in my cozy bed. I do have a medical issue – reflux – so I take medication daily and need to sit in a Bailey chair for my feedings. But don't worry, it's all manageable, and I'm quite used to my routine. At home, I'm a calm companion who loves to be outside for a bit before heading back inside for more cuddles. My snores are loud but oh-so-cute, adding a bit of charm to my nap time. Toys aren't really my thing, but I'm always open to trying new ones. I adore kids and like spending time with them. I get along great with the other dogs in my foster home, but I do have a high prey drive, so I tend to chase the cats. I'm working on it, but I'd probably do best in a home without cats. I'm not picky about whether I live with other dogs as long as my humans are home most of the time. I sleep all night in my kennel and wake up ready to start the day as soon as I hear you're up. If something alarms me or if someone is at the door, I'll bark to let you know. I flinch a bit when you first go to pet me, but once I realize I'm safe, I love getting all the pets and love. I know a couple of commands like "Come" and "Go Potty," and I'm 95% potty trained. I'm also crate trained, though I do bark a bit when you leave before settling down. I'm a bit fearful of new things and freeze on a leash, so a fenced yard is a must for me to feel safe and secure. I'm all about cuddles, kisses, and being fed – that's my idea of a perfect day! I’m Boston Cream Pie, a 4-year-old female Boston Terrier weighing in at a petite 20 lbs. I’m still learning about life as a family pet and enjoy a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. When there’s a lot of noise, I prefer to quietly sit in my crate and come out to explore once things calm down. Because of this, I’d do best in a home with no kids or only older kids who understand my need for tranquility. I’m a bit nervous around new people but I’m very tolerant. I do better when I have another dog to follow around, though I don’t interact with them much. I’m just starting to learn about toys and treats—I love picking up toys and shaking them as hard as I can! I don’t really play with them beyond that, but I REALLY like bones and bully sticks. I prefer eating my meals in peace, without anyone watching me, but I do sneak a bite from the other dogs’ bowls when everyone’s around. I’m working on my potty training and doing well on a schedule. I’m also crate trained and feel safe in my crate. I do need a fenced yard because I’m not leash trained yet and can be a flight risk due to my fear of new things. Having another dog around helps me learn the ropes, get into a routine and learn to trust people. One of my best qualities is that I rarely bark. I’m a calm and sweet girl, very gentle when taking treats, and would be a great addition to a quiet home. He is a loyal companion with a happy-go-lucky spirit and a few quirks that make him all the more endearing. Solomon has settled into a nice routine where he enjoys his walks. He’s not overly playful with other dogs, preferring to coexist peacefully, but he’s got a playful side that comes out when it’s just him, a tennis ball, and a patch of grass to roll around in. In the mornings, Solomon is quick to start his day, heading outside with his dog foster sibling for a potty break before coming back in for breakfast. He’s not one to spend long hours in his kennel, as he mostly sleeps or entertains himself in the house with his toys while his human works from home. By evening, he’s ready for dinner and some quality time snuggling up in bed, enjoying a good TV show. Solomon’s got some unique habits that make him special. When he’s in the mood for pets, he’ll wrap his long arms around your wrist—just his way of saying he’s ready for some affection. He loves looking out the car window, giving chin licks, and laying his head on your chest while sitting on the couch. When he’s excited, you’ll find him rolling around in the grass with pure joy. And when he’s tired, he’ll tuck himself into his kennel for the night, where he feels safe and comfortable. Solomon is a great committed companion. He’s adaptable, and would do well either as the only dog or with a small, calm canine friend. A home with an older couple who’s around a lot might be just the right fit for this sweet, quirky boy!  He has not been introduced to children or cats, young children may not be a great fit for him as he can get nervous around sudden movements and loud noises.  Solomon  is from Texas.
