Story
**Fostered in Roy, WA and ready for meet & greets!** THE BEST! His foster family says Pumba is the easiest and best foster they’ve ever had! This adorable little nugget is as perfect as it gets. With the cutest smile and hilarious snorting noises, Pumba will keep you laughing and smiling. He’s the ultimate companion and a true social butterfly! This bundle of joy is bursting with personality. You’ll never find another pup like him, and missing out on Pumba would be a crime against cuteness. He’s always smiling and loves everything! Curious and adventurous, Pumba enjoys exploring, car rides, walks, playtime, kids, dogs, and of course, naps! Naturally funny, Pumba will make you giggle even when he’s just sitting there. His expressive face and little piggy snorts are guaranteed to bring joy. Watching him play is a hoot—he can entertain himself for hours by tossing toys in the air and catching them. He’s also the funniest playmate for other dogs! Pumba has a moderate energy level and loves to cuddle and nap after a good play session. He’s a snuggle bug with both human and doggy friends. Great with kids as young as 3, he’d make an excellent family dog. Easygoing and tolerant, Pumba fits right in with everyone. Just no kitties for this guy, though. Check out Pumba in action here: Pumba in action Already fully crate and potty trained, Pumba is the perfect house guest. He’s smart, eager to please, and quickly learns new commands. He sits nicely for treats and even knows how to use a doggy door. Sure, he might pull on the leash when he sees another dog, but that’s just his excitement—some leash training could help with that. We think Pumba might be a Boston Terrier mix or Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. At approximately 1 year old and 45 lbs full-grown, he’s the perfect size for all your adventures. As a rescue, his exact breed and age are a bit of a mystery, but that just adds to his charm. With a cute corkscrew tail and a shiny, healthy coat, he’s irresistible. Pumba is incredibly social and loves meeting new dogs. He’s even spent time at Camp Bow Wow, where he was the star of the show. While he might pull on the leash when meeting new dogs out of sheer excitement, he does better with off-leash introductions. Pumba’s met dogs from 20 lbs to 60 lbs and just wants to be friends with them all. Pumba is very tolerant of all play styles. He loves rough and rowdy play and enjoys a good game of chase. He’s respectful of other dogs' boundaries, having met an older dominant female who gives loud corrections when she doesn’t want to play—he took it like a gentleman. Pumba would thrive in a home with another moderately playful dog, matching their energy and respecting their space. Pumba is a one-of-a-kind friend who can’t be matched. From laughter and fun to snuggles and TV watching, to car rides and adventures, Pumba is ready for it all! Don’t miss out on this incredible boy! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
