Story
This little Boston Terrier mix is named Squirt! He is only 3 months old and although he presently weighs 13 puppy pounds, he'll mature to about 25 pounds. Squirt is a sweet boy with a real affectionate streak. He's friendly and relatively calm for a boy this young. He's a real treat! (posted 3/8/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **March 12, 2025, 2:02 pm

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 3/2/2025 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Hi Tammy here from Wags # 5254 , I've been in my foster home for three weeks . It is very nice , but I'm looking for a foreverhome My foster Mom says I'm becoming a real dog. I finally learned to potty in the grass , I'm used to the tickle now. I have had only one accident in two weeks ! The other day I took a treat from my Foster's hand and she said I was a good girl. I'M trying to learn to play with toys and that makes her very happy, too. The other day I was cuddling with her on the couch and I stretched and Landed on my back , all of a sudden i thought I was in heaven my foster rubbed my tummy . Oh my did that feel good ! I like that a lot! Just to remind you I am 4 yrs old , heartworm negative, I love people and kids . I am very kind and gentle . I sleep well in my crate . I don't bark . I'm learning to walk on a leash, but it's hard . Look for me on March 16 at our adoption event . Please pick me ! Woof woof TAMMY Note to prospective adopters: Tammy is from a horrible puppy mill hoarding situation and was neglected. She came into rescue with a mammary tumor that was removed, and they got good margins. However, it is noted in the medicals that the cancer may have traveled to the lymph nodes. So, there is no way of knowing if Tammy will live a long life. She is currently loving life in a real home outside of a horrible crate. The following bio is from her foster mom. #5254 Hello, my name is Tammy. I am a petite 4 year old female Boston Terrier. I weigh about 15 lbs. I am spayed and heartworm negative. I am very sweet, gentle, and friendly. I am happy to meet new people. I'm learning to go potty outside, but not on the grass because it tickles. I like to go on concrete, hopefully you have some! I enjoy quiet and am happiest when I am sleeping on my soft bed in the sun or on the couch with my blanket. I like to know where my person is and will look for them. I sleep in a crate at night and when my foster mom goes out. I'm no trouble at all if you'd like a sweet gentle girl who doesn't like to be alone. If so, I am your girl. Ps. I do not bark. Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Available 3/2/2025 Originated fromAllmons All About Animals DL# 17277Blackshear GA 31516 Sweet & Spunky! Mikey is approx 2 yr old neutered male Boston Terrier. He is a survivor of a puppy mill in GA and is loving living in a house with humans, warm beds and snuggling in blankets. . It appears living indoors is relatively new to Mikey and he is learning to potty outside. He has started to go to the door when he needs to go out. He is crated while his foster is at work and has had no accidents in the crate. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but he will also go on a leash. He is good with dogs, not cat tested. He has lived with older children. Mikey came to Wags being heartworm positive and will start treatment in March. Wags will pay for the treatment. If he is adopted before treatment is finished, adopter would need to bring him to Hopewell Vet in Jenkintown. Story
Meet MJ! He is a 9yr old beagle/terrier mix. He was found as a stray in KY and ended up in a kill shelter...until we rescued him. He seems to get along with every other dog we have (incl puppies of all ages). He walks well on a leash once he gets over the excitement of being out with you. At only about 40 lbs, he is the perfect sized companion dog. MJ is very smart too and learned to sit for a treat & give his paw within 5mins. His aim is to please :) We find that he doesn't like to be without people in general but that's not to say that he likes all people and is definately picky about who he trusts. The ideal home would have someone around rather than leaving him for the workday and would have some dog training knowledge about how to handle a fear aggressive dog. We can no longer bring him to adoption events since many in the general public do not know how to read a dog's body language (he does give signs when he's uncomfortable). We would recommend a low-traffic household for sure because of the potential fear aggressive bite and someone with experience in dealing with this behavior. Our adoption fee is $325 and all of our pets come with full vet records.  All animals are up to date on vaccinations & dewormed.  Unless otherwise indicated, puppies are NOT spayed or neutered since our vet recommends waiting until 6mos of age to do so.  Please keep in mind we are a Rescue Group and most of our pups come to us with little or no background info regarding breed, eventual size, age or prior health issues. We rely on the expertise of our veterinarians and make estimates based on past experience. Also, when you're adopting from a Rescue, you should ask questions! You should always get shot/medication records and the rescue should have had the dog for a bit of time to check for disease. Take the time to educate yourself before adopting. A reputable rescue will have nothing to hide and will answer ALL your questions!!!Please visit our Web Site to see all of the pets we have for adoption. Our site contains information about our adoption process and fees, our application, and answers to frequently asked questions. Please read it carefully before contacting us. If you are interested in adopting THIS wonderful pet, we strongly encourage you to complete our adoption application now. Once we receive and approve your application, we will notify you of approval. The first application to be received and approved will get 1st choice - be sure that your references are available and willing to speak with us. Thank You Visit us at one of our next adoption days.  Details are on our site under the "How to Adopt" tab. Hope to see you there!October 13, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
NOTE:  If you are seeing this posting, she's still available :) Meet Trixie!  We were told she was born on 1/11/22.  Her mom looked to be a boston terrier mix. Trix is tipping the scales at 25lbs and is lean because she's always on the go given her age. Trixie is a very sweet girl, who just needs some basic training.  Her fosterhome has a fenced yard and since she has had minimal leash training, that works best at the moment.  She needs routine & some manners to be the perfect family pet.  Trix is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and was tested for HW and tick borne diseases - all were neg.  She has the shiniest sleek black coat we've ever seen on a pup before!  She's very treat motivated and when it comes to taking commands, she's all ears LOL  Her friends are a group of adult dogs as well as a couple of young shepherd mixes that are double her size also with us.  Trixie's favorite game is fetch & she actually brings the ball back to you! Recent small breed experience is a must since they're just not for everyone & definitely not for the 1st time dog owner.  This girl would NOT do well in a city environment, so we're seeking a more rural home since that's all she knows.  If you have the time and patience to train a pup, please visit our site at endingthesadness.org & fill out an application to be considered.  Adopters must be no more than 2hrs driving distance from us.  Only older children in the home, please.November 20, 2024, 3:06 pm
