Charlie was hit by a car and sustained a fractured spine, traumatic brain injury, severe road rash to both his eyes and his body. He spent two months in the hospital recovering from his injuries. We were able to save both his eyes, but he does have limited vision in them. He is currently a paraplegic and gets around in a wheelchair, but he is gaining more and more use of his legs every day. Our hope that he will be able to walk on all fours again in the future. He does have some issues with controlling his bladder. This is related to his fractured spine. As this heals, his control increases. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Precious little Winnie is a 10-11 year old female that came to us from the Texas Panhandle. She's appx 14 lbs and has limited vision with some apparent hearing loss. She's also got some inoperable cancerous tumors that are being closely monitored by our vet team. Winnie would benefit from a dental, but until we know exactly what we're dealing with health-wise, we are doing what we can without putting her under. Winnie is an expert snuggler and she gets along wonderfully with her foster sister. She's a very expressive little lady and she has her foster family well-trained already. :) Given Winnie’s ongoing health concerns, she is considered a forever foster with ABTRR. She will remain in the care of her foster family and we will be financially responsible for her indefinitely. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Boyd (aka Loki) is a 4-year-old male. He's a cute brindle boy who weighs in at 22 lbs. and has been fully vetted & neutered. He was heartworm positive when he arrived, but he has been treated and recently tested negative, so he's finally available for adoption! He can be a bit testy with other male dogs, so a meet & greet will be required. He is also a rough-and-tumble boy who plays hard, so if there are other dogs in the home, it's important that they be able to keep up.
