Story
ARRIVING IN WI AUGUST 23rd! Vito is an adorable 6 month old Boston Terrier Mix who weighs about 25 pounds. He has a white coat with gorgeous brindle markings. Vito was found abandoned in rural Texas, and is currently in a shelter. He is a sweet boy who loves people and cannot wait for his freedom ride to Wisconsin and his forever family, where he will never be abandoned again. Vito is neutered, up to date on his vaccines and comes with his health certificate showing he was checked by a vet and healthy. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday August 23rd, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption. Should you find that he is not a good fit for your family upon meeting, the deposit is refundable. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Story
My name is Bane and I am now available for "Foster-to-Adopt". I have quite a story and although my journey before Save-A-Pet is unknown, I have so much love to give and would love to share it with you! As a "Foster-to-Adopt", you look to be my forever home but, until my medical condition is all sorted out, Save-A-Pet will continue to cover the costs of my vet care! Isn't that great?! We can just focus on all the snuggles and time spent with each other in the meantime until I am ready to officially have your last name! Story
Rey, also known as Rachel, is a female Boston Terrier with a sweet and affectionate nature. She currently struggles with some anxiety and is a bit scared of a few things, including car rides and being outside. When frightened, she tends to freeze, drool, or even vomit. Rey is not comfortable with leashes yet and often needs to be carried when outside the home. Despite her fears, Rey comes to life when she's with other dogs, showing her playful and fun personality. She enjoys playing with stuffed animals and loves to shred them if left alone. Rey is not much of a chewer when it comes to harder toys or bones. It's important for Rey's future family to know that she feels safer in small spaces rather than having access to the entire house at first. She may get stuck in rooms if she perceives obstacles in her way and struggles to get off furniture, even with platforms or ramps available. Rey does best in a home with other dogs, as she looks to them for security and support. While she is tolerant of humans touching and grooming her, she remains nervous and standoffish. With patience and a gentle approach, Rey is slowly starting to warm up to her foster family, sometimes even greeting them when they approach her. She would thrive in a calm and understanding environment with other canine companions. For more information, email northaurora@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 80, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 6th and arrive on September 7th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 8/6/2024 Dog Name: Bertha Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Boston Terrier Approximate Age: 1.5-2 Years Approximate Weight: 12-15 lbs Adoption Fee: $650 Description: Bertha was an owner surrender as she could no longer be cared for. She is always happy and loves everyone in her foster home. She is fostered with two other dogs and sleeps in the bed! She loves the spoiled life indoors now and is anxiously awaiting finding her WI family!  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. August 15, 2024, 9:27 pm

Story
Meet Lily, a French Bulldog that is the epitome of resilience and joy in a furry package, who arrived 299 days ago! Despite her hind leg paralysis, Lily exudes happiness, friendliness, and curiosity, making her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loving pup. She's a playful soul who adores spending time with her humans, earning her the title of a loyal "shadow dog." Lily delights in car rides, leisurely walks, cozy beds, and engaging in playful activities like fetch and tug of war. She generally gets along swimmingly with most dogs, but alas, no cats for this charming pooch! Lily's dislikes include being left alone outside, vet visits, and animals running away from her. House training isn't an issue thanks to her trusty diaper, which requires regular changing and assistance with urine expression. Lily's wheelchair grants her mobility on walks, though she needs supervision to avoid mishaps. With her need for frequent baths and vet visits, as well as attentive care for daily tasks like bed assistance, Lily seeks a compassionate and observant caregiver who can provide the love and support she deserves.Ask to meet her today! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about her on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/Adoption fee: $475All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application.
