If you are interested in one of our dogs, please complete an application on line at www.ahome4everrescue.org Prince is a wonderful dog who was placed on the euth list because he had lost weight.   After being rescued from the shelter and placed in a loving home he regained his weight and became the happy dog he  was meant to be.   He still suffers from anxiety and will need to be in a home that will continue his training as he regains confidence.  He will do best in a home with an experienced owner.   If you are interested in Prince please complete an application on line at www.ahome4everrescue.org.  --- Come meet our dogs on Saturdays at PetSmart in Costa Mesa from 11:30-2:30. All A Home 4 Ever Rescue dogs receive a wellness exam by our veterinarian and are up to date with vaccinations. They are spayed or neutered and microchipped before they go to their adoptive families. Story
Henry came to us by way of the SEAACA animal shelter.  When he arrived at the shelter two weeks prior, he was in pretty terrible shape.  His ears were destroyed by fly strikes, and his entire muzzle was covered in scabs/sores.  He waited for two weeks, but nobody ever claimed him, and he wasn't adopted.  We were able to step in and save him from taking his final walk. Henry is literally one of the calmest boxers we have ever seen. He's pretty solid, but so so so tender. He has those beautiful, soulful, amber eyes.  It's obvious that Henry wasn't dealt the best hand early in his life, and he probably spent most of his time outdoors. Our vet examined him thoroughly and ran all of the appropriate tests.  He believes Henry to be about 3 years old, but we are estimated between 3-5 just to be safe (his teeth indicate closer to 3).  He really just wants to be your couch buddy.  Do you have space?  If so, please fill out an adoption application located here:  Adopt (rrboxerrescue.org)August 6, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Pete is a 2.5 year old male Must be an only dog Meet Pete! Isn't he a hunk!?!?!?! Pete came to us from the Riverside shelter. He has been with us since just before Thanksgiving and we have gotten to know a lot about him. &#226&#128&#139 Pete is a tender hearted guy who just wants to snuggle and love his humans. He is very affectionate with people he knows, but it's obvious he's had his heart broken in his past, so he is very guarded with his heart. He needs humans who are patient and let him love you slowly (we're talking probably within an hour, not just during a 20 minute meet and greet) He takes a little bit of time to get comfortable with new people and dogs. He is currently fostered with a lot of dogs. He co-exists with them just fine and is relatively indifferent to them...but he seems to be having some problems being indifferent on his meet and greets, when it comes to other dogs. It's as if he suddenly gets nervous, so going slow and doing everything right is a must! He needs a home with no other dogs. He is definitely potty trained and very well mannered. He will definitely be on Santa's nice list. He is crate trained, but he is so good that his foster mom doesn't crate him. He does great with kids but due to his behavior around other dogs, we are not comfortable placing him with kids at this time.    He really wants to be home for the holidays. Is that your home? If so, please fill out an app and set up a meet and greet. He would make a great apartment dog. As he is not a barker!   Available from R&R Boxer Rescue:  Pete (rrboxerrescue.org)August 6, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Rudy 4 YO Male Loves People Good on Leash Seems to be okay with dogs.   Located near: Costa Mesa, CA   Aka Rudy Roo, Rude Dude, Rudy Tootie Fresh and Fruity   He is impossibly handsome with the most gentle soul. He loves his humans and wants to be with them as much as possible. Happy to just sit with you, on you or near you but also very content if crate time is needed. Not much of a toy dog but loves a yummy treat.   Commands he knows are, Here, Sit, Shake, Up and Down. Happily puts on his harness to go for a walk or loves a drive with his head in the breeze.   Good meeting all new people including kids but usually not overly excited unless its favorite people, then prepare for lots of licks. He likes to play and be silly but is always super gentle but likes most boxers for shorts burst, then needs some sleeps. Then more sleeps. Lots of sleeps. Fully potty trained and has a perfect 100% score for outside pee and poops. Zero accidents. Seems to like other dogs but like his personality he is very gentle and passive but haven’t had too much interaction yet. Rudy is an unbelievable dog who wants to be your best friend for life!   If you are interested in making Rudy a part of your family, please complete an adoption application.   https://www.rrboxerrescue.org/adoption-application.html August 6, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Hey, it's me Michaela.....   I had some surgeries to remove a few lumps and bumps and now I am on the lookout for my new forever family.   A little about me, I get along splendidly with other dogs. Nothing is better than a good game of tug with your BFF. I love all people too, never met one I didn't like. I do well on leash, can be left home with another dog, and give the best snuggles ever.   I have been through a whole lot in my 8 years, and I would really like to find a home where I can be provided all of the unconditional love in the world. Now don't get me wrong, I don't have a lot of baggage because of my past, I'm pretty much just a happy go lucky girl looking for a perfect home.   From her foster: She is pretty unflappable in any situation. She is crate trained, and absolutely loves her crate. She is just a fun, chill gal! Do you have a soft landing spot for Mikaela? She deserves to live a wonderful final chapter with you   If you are interested in adopting Michaela, please complete an adoption application.   https://www.rrboxerrescue.org/adoption-application.html    August 6, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
We saved Destiny from the San Bernardino shelter about 4 years ago. She was adopted by a wonderful woman who loved her and gave her a good home. Unfortunately, Destiny now finds herself back with us as her mom passed away a few months ago. She was sad at first, but she is finally coming out of it and is ready to find her next forever home. Destiny is great with people -- she will love everyone. She enjoys her walks and is also happy to just chill in the shade. She will learn to get along with some dogs, but she would probably prefer to be the only dog in her family. Please come meet Destiny. She is a sweet girl who just wants love.
